Linda, lovely quilts. I haven't quilted in a while. I too have a quilt that I should get done. I machine quilted last December ... I just need to sew the binding on. Procrastination!

Krista, I admire that you can crochet such lovely projects. I cannot crochet for the life of me. Seriously, I'm a ram the needle in the hole kind of knitter. I lack the delicate move required for crochet. I could learn .... but I'm good for now. lol

Hum ... maybe that's why I sometimes find knitting so cathartic! lol

Cheers!

OH Grace, you make me smile!

Thank you so much Carole. That is how I feel about sewing. I can't sew to save my life. I do hope to really learn how someday.

Look at this cutie I finished yesterday. It's for my son's teacher for Christmas. He is so excited to give it to her.

Thank you Karen and Linda. LOL he can keep a secret. I have told him how sad it would make him feel if he knew what his presents were before he opened them. So he promises to not tell. I have now started on my other son's teacher present. It's about half way done. Everleigh still isn't sure what she wants me to make for her teacher. I think that is one of the best parts of Christmas, making others their presents.

Thank you Heather and Grace. I have been busy bouncing around between projects but I am hoping to have a good amount of time to sit down and get some crochet done this weekend. I'm running out of time LOL!

Wow! Didn't realize how long I was MIA until I started catching up.... Ladies, you are all an inspiration.

I started a new quilt, it will take me a long time as I can usually only do one block every other day. Cut it out on 1 day then sew it the next. This is the quilt I am working on....

With any luck it will only take me 2 or 3 years to finish LOL

I did finish making my MJF Apron. It was fun to do

And have been learning a new heel for home knitted socks. That has been interesting.

Took a class in quilling... so interesting and fun.

Well better get back to work.

I finished the 3 ornaments for the ornie swap on MJF.

I also made another denim stocking for a grandson - his previous stocking did not make it through last Christmas. It was 15 years sol, so that was probably why. Last year I had to make a new one for his twin. LOL!

Krista I love the turtle, great job! Your son’s teacher will love it.
Theresa I love your quilt so much work, but so pretty! Cute apron too.
I can not even finish a simple crochet baby blanket for my nephew that I have been working on my months. My nephew was born Thanksgiving Day so we are blessed. And yes I will finish the blanket.

Wow y’all have been busy! I got a special request from four of my nieces and nephews to knit them each another hat for Christmas. Hope I’ll make it in time!

I did finally get around to embroidering my farm girl badge and stitching it to my tote that I used to carry my badge planner and current stitch project. I have lots of badges to embroider onto my bag already, but Christmas presents first!

I finished up 3 more ‘gift package hangers’… I have 3 elderly lady friends that I like to bake cookies for, .. I find sweet Holiday themed plates at the Thrift store. Fill them with cookies and candy and add a hand made ornament on top..
Easy peasy and a great way to use up scraps…

Theresa, I love the quilt and the colors. It will be so nice once you finish it. Your apron is lovely too! You sure have been busy.

Linda, that is funny. Now they will both have newer ones.

Great work on the badge Shennandoah. One day I will get around to mine.

Grace, your little snowmen are adorable! Your friends will love their gift from you.

I am still crocheting. Still haven't completed a project yet, but I am hoping to soon. Real soon lol!

Thank you Debbie. It will take a long time to finish, but gives me something to work on... like I can stay focused lately (squirrel). LOL

Grace, Embroidery is not my strong point, but the apron was fun. I did do some adjustments to the apron pattern, I lined it so the embroidery work on the back side wouldn't show. Don't know that I will wear it to cook in, but I do take it out often and just look at it. LOL I just love your package hangers... and that you do the plate goodies! What a wonderful idea.

Additional items on my plate right now, learned a new heel turn on knitted socks, so had to dig out some yummy sock yarn and whip up some socks for my friend. (we are no longer exchanging Christmas gifts so no pressure to get them done in time to ship them to her for Christmas) so they will be a "just because I love you" New Year Gift.... I think I like that better anyway as we are both getting older and slower. Also, when I mailed out Christmas cards this year I found I didn't have enough quilted cards made, so am making up a bunch for next year!!!!!! Just received my new book on quilling, so I will just have to work on that LOL. And, since my series of unfortunate events I have not been carving at all. I have a 1/3 finished piece so I really need to get back at that.

I haven't been comfortable explaining my series of unfortunate events, but here goes....

I got a really bad infection and went to the ER. They gave me some medication which I had an allergic reaction to. In the middle of the night, I went into anaphylactic shock, fell and messed up both of my legs with nerve damage (that's a whole other story), It also caused me to get Steven Johnson Syndrome, SJS cause me to get a bubble in my retina, which also lead to the discovery that I am in macular degeneration. It also caused me to go into Afib, they stopped and started my heart 3 times but was unable to get it back into regular beat, so, there ya go. So I am trying to adjust to my new normal. Am getting there, slowly but surely and seeing all the wonderful things you ladies do helps in ways you could never know. Thank You.
