Oh Karen, that is incrediblly awesome!! Being a bookmaking enthusiast, I adore any papercrafts that are construction oriented. Wherever did you find this pattern? Or is it your own design?
Great job,
jean

Michele, those are cute. What a great idea.

Karen, that is such a neat card! I haven't ever heard of those before. How does the inside stuff not get smashed when it's folded flat?

Thank you! I did not come up with the design on my own…it uses a metal die to cut out the pieces. It has middle has tabs that attach to the outside pieces. They are scored so it helps it to lay flat. :)

Recently in the Lost Art of Letter Writing swap, Debbie F. sent me the movie "Message in a Bottle" with Kevin Costner. . . My girlfriend, Lynne, and I watched it earlier this week and this is what happened . . . email and photo sent to Mr. Costner's online fan club. . . . OK so we are Senior Citizen Chicks going on a second teen time. LOL.

My quilt club is making a Baltimore quilt for our fundraiser. Each block is a month of the year. This is my block, June - Presidential Wreath. As you can see, it's almost done. I'll add little beads in the center of the purple flowers. I've never done applique before, but I'm very careful to keep the stitches invisible.

Vanessa, you did a beautiful job! I love your dimensional flower centers! Do you think you will enjoy doing more appliqué? I’ve done a lot of it and I enjoy it, I think it’s relaxing.

Vanessa, your block is gorgeous. Applique is a labor of love and you have done a beautiful job. That quilt should be magnificent.
