It's always good to train the husbands to help with important crafting tasks! Lol:)

I love that canning ring pumpkin Wanda. Great project to work on with the grands.

A little rain can straighten a flower stem. A little love can change a life.

Jean, funny you should mention sous chef, he also helps me with cooking. I call him my sous chef all the time as he cuts up all the veggies for me. I would rent him out but I keep him pretty busy LOL

Karen, it is important to train them early. I must say here that I always help him with his projects also and some of his projects are real dozzies. LOL

My husband is trained to stop at antique and thrift shops on car trips. He can also spot Feataherweight sewing machines and antique quilts. LOL!

Wanda I love your pumpkin.
Vanessa your puppy is so cute!
Linda, what ever project you are doing, cut the vinyl bigger than needed and trim later.
I tried picking up the foot often and it didn't help. This was my 3rd project with vinyl, all small projects. I had the same problem with all of them.

I’m stuck in a crafting funk. I have so many UFOs that need to be finished but I have no desire to pick them up. I keep feeling like I want to start something new but I don’t even know what I would want to make. Hopefully this passes quickly so I can get back on track.

Krista - I hate crafting funks like that. Usually they pass quickly for me, but during them it's the pits!

Thanks for the hints, Andrea!

Krista, maybe after the holidays, you will see some time and have some renewed interest in the UFOs. With a baby and 3 her children growing faster and faster every day, it might be that the craft funk goes on sabbatical for a few years and you will circle back around with the littlest one hits school age. I definitely had that happen to me. By the time I thought I had some free time to start on some craft project, I would fall asleep!!

During the kid years my crafting consisted of 8 years of room mother chairman, making clothes and halloween costumes, and other small human activities. Then I went to work. It was only after retirement that I could do things that I wanted to do for me just for fun. Not complaining -- it was all fun in its own way and provided a lot of good memories.

Those are so stinking cute Theresa. I love all the different holidays and patterns.

Linda, I agree. Glad I’m not the only one.

Winnie, that is exactly how I feel right now! Lol. I have been so dang tired and choosing my sleep over any project. I bet once Bexten is in school so much will change.

Judith, that makes so much sense. I feel like that is what I’m doing now. I wouldn’t change it for the world either. I love all the things I make for my kids. Thank you.

Thank you everyone. They didn't take as long as I thought they would and mostly assembled them in the evening watching TV (instead of knitting), then sewed them all at once and then finished them off with another night of TV. I am planning on giving a 4 pack of each season (Christmas, Halloween, Spring and Autumn) as gifts this Christmas. They were a lot of fun to make. Finished up my Quilted Christmas cards, slowly getting ready for the season.

Making an afghan for my Daughter April. Lets see what else, oh I cut up lots more
bits and pieces for scrap booking, and I made a big pot of cream of potato and
ham and corn soup.
