So... Here is what happened,,, I went fabric shopping, and between the clerk, myself and about a dozen bolts af fabric laying on the counter,, we both fell in love with this turquoise color, but it actually has a print design, I just couldn't get it to photo well . It has a tiny pinwheel starburst design in a tad darker shade..
Anyway while laying out my D.P. pieces, I had tossed them out of the way and one landed on my pillow... Wholly Mholly!!... Now I need to make a new deco pillow for my bedroom... In soft shades of sage green...
Jean!!! it's all your fault! Lolol!
Just a pre- heck Layout of the table topper..26x26".. I haven't decided yet on what color to make the center and quarter circles.
Oh the mischief one can get into with the Dresden Plate Design!

It must be Dresden plate season. This was supposed to have flowers appliquéd in the center. I wasn't crazy about the flowers and don't much like appliqué so this is how it ended up:

Oh my, oh my, you busy, busy Dresden dolls. Katmom, do you need more petals for your bedroom pillow?
Judith, what a stunning treatment combined with the log cabin strips. Do you want me to cut petals for you? Grace can tell you how fun and easy they make a DP project. If I EVER finish my current slate of projects, I may have to make another DP -- I can't let you two have all the fun by yourselves. I did make this DP quilt many, many moons ago long before I ever had the GO cutter.
And, I do believe at the time I said NEVER again. But . . . .

Great sewing projects. Amazing work. I did a marathon card making few days. Nothing complex all simple. Made a years supply of cards hopefully lol.

Today I made four patriotic table runner squares; they are 14-1/2" square and we have three holidays coming up they can be used for: Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. The fabric on the back of all 4 is 3/4" stars. I love making this star block and have been making them for several years; they are pretty easy and you make 2 opposite fabric blocks when you are done. On Wednesday, I will be taking them to the small shop where I have things for sale here in town.
I am going to post them on MJF Marketplace if anyone is interested. They will be $15.00 + $1.25 for envelope + shipping.

Michelle, WOW, all those fun handmade cards. I've been learning a new machine embroidery technique for making embroidered greeting cards. I kind of altered the idea to fit an envelope swap (not MJF) that I've participated in for several years. I send 10 cards in any medium and receive ten all different cards in return. I have quite a collection now. Anyhow, here is my current offering about to be mailed off. I made the envelopes from heavy matte scrapbook stock, embroidered them and added a bit of watercolor pencil detail and some pearl misting. The insides are lined with gelli prints. It was a fun project and I learned a lot.
