I am envious of your snow. According to the forecast we should get some after New Years. And I agree, it feels more appropriate to work on crafts when it's cold outside.

Wow Jean! That’s a lot of snow. Definitely the perfect reason to stay inside and craft. We have a little bit of snow but it’s expected for us to get some more starting tomorrow and going through the weekend. Love your table topper. It’s beautiful.

Yesterday I bound 2 quilts - a Christmas bed runner and a baby quilt for a boy. I have binding cut and ironed for 2 more Christmas quilts; I just need to sew it on.
These are the two I finished:

I also finished one MJF Dish Drainer Quilt, half of another for Christmas presents, and pulled fabrics for several more *that don't have to be done before Christmas). I showed one to the shop owner where I have things for sale and she wants me to make some for the shop, and she wants one for herself and another lady wants one. They are a little time consuming for the ruffle, but I can use up some of my fabric stash making them. Since I started putting things in her shop I've sold more than in 2 years at the other shop because the woman at the previous shop was closed more than she was open, and she advertised her bakery/catering businness but nothing about those who had things for sale in her shop. :-(

Congratulations Jean and Linda on your beautiful quilting. I decided to make some quilted table runners for Christmas gifts this year. I really enjoyed getting back into the art again. My mother has always been an amazing quilter, but I'm still learning on smaller projects.
Here is a photo of one that I completed:-

You ladies are so inspirational with your quilting! Such beautiful patters and small pieces!
I love to try and sew, but always seem to run short on patience after a short runway. My mother is such a beautiful seamstress and makes it look so easy. I keep trying, but have not yet graduated from the basic squares to the smaller more beautiful pieces and patterns. One day I hope to share something beautiful I was able to create with you all! Until then, I'm a passionate admirer!

Cindy, that is gorgeous! You did a great job! I really need to work on something. I have so many unfinished projects, but I think my next goal is to make a stuffed animal for the baby.

Beautiful job Cindy. Getting the points right on any kind of star patterns is a big challenge. Yours look perfect. Good work.

Thanks, Jean! I'm excited to tackle something a little bigger in the new year. This quilting business gets a little addictive doesn't it!

Sweet baby quilt Linda and I'm sure it will be appreciated by the receiver.

Cindy that is a pretty table runner.

I have yet to get started on any projects. I need to get my unfinished projects done. There are a few. Quilts to get quilted. Cross stitch projects to finish up. Really need to get going on them. I want to get some gifts started for Christmas next year.

I tried out my "new" eyes on a little project for my little quilt group. I can't get new glasses until everything is healed but I can already see better than before. This one is 10 by 12 inches. It went fast since I already had the half square triangles leftover from another project.

Oh Judith, I'm always dazed and amazed at your tiny quilts. . . . beautiful and perfect. Congrats on the "new" eyes. Sew glad they are working OK. I know that's a big relief to you.

jean

Love all the quilting projects! I have a pot holder book of quilt blocks that I'd like to get out and work on this year. Great way to use up fabric and get started on next year's Christmas gifts.

Heather, why don't you "do" a pot holder swap. We all need them and can never have too many. They are a quick fun way to try out new techniques or use up orphan blocks. They easily slip into an envelope to keep postage at a minimum. I'll definitely sign up . . .
