Afternoon, we have a huge wonderful group of ladies participating this time! Some new to the swap! I'm so stoked! Yea! Remember to send an email to your partner to acquire their address and give them yours. Mail out and please post that you've received your ATC. Because we had 13 join I decided to take 2. Hi Ladies,
Seems the world has turned topsy turvy since our last swap. It's been crazy and fearful around my area although CV19 hasnt quite hit here yet. My heart just aches for all who are somehow touched by this virus, families, businesses, healthcare workers, so so many! But in the midst of all the sadness there is GOOD! Let's be beacons of light this month, practicing the ART OF POSITIVITY!! :) Lord knows we all could use a positive, uplifting, encouraging word!
So this months ATC theme is Positivity. Come up with anything encouraging, uplifting, positive that you can share with another. Only one ATC needs to be made for your swap partner, however, you could make as many as you wanted to send a note of encouragement to others. Use cardstock or anything heavy, 3 1/2 x 2 1/2. Any medium. Just make it encouraging and positive, ok??
This too shall pass and we shall be stronger because of it! Let's send lots of positivity out into the world coupled with lots of prayers and thankfulness! Never forget to share what you've been blessed with, ok?
Sign ups until April 20th, partners assigned April 21st and mail off by the 25th of April.

Artist trading cards (ATCs) are miniature pieces of art that are traded around the world. Artists create, trade and collect art at organized "swap" events, either in person or online. The only official rule for ATCs is the size: 2.5" x 3.5". Artist Trading Cards are the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). Alternately you may choose to use a round ATC Coin of 2.5" diameter. They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. In 1997 he created 1200 cards by hand as part of an exhibit. On the last day, he invited others to create their own cards and trade with him during the closing reception. The movement took off, and today, there are ATC swaps in almost every major city around the world!
You can make ATCs with many different media including paper, fabric, felt, metal, wood, clay, paint, stamps, embellishments and more. There are tons of ideas and inspiration available online if you google ATC or Artist Trading Cards.

Several big rains several years ago washed my grape hyacinths from the back yard down the slope toward the barn. When the grands were young they discovered the tiny beauties. It was a beautiful time.
