Even if I can't break soil,, I can force bulbs..
Wall Mart had selection of 'mystery' bulbs for $1 each.. so we'll see what color I get when it blooms..

I used to buy mystery cans at the grocery outlet but mystery bulbs sound a lot more fun!

That is a beautiful forcing vase Grace. You'll have a blooming hyacinth with it's lovely aroma scenting the room before you know it!

Oh, Gracie! All my bulbs are pushing up in my greeting garden... I am just DYING for them to bloom so I can share pictures with you! Last fall, my godson's best buddy came over and planted TONS of bulbs for me that I had bought at the end of the season on clearance, God bless him! I had covered my entire garden with a mulch of freshly raked leaves, making sure every inch of soil was tucked in comfy cozy for winter. It was just soooo pretty looking... But our sweetheart yard guy honestly thought he was doing me a favor "cleaning" my bed, and blew them all away! (He cuts our grass - all three of us are terribly allergic - even for our postage stamp yard, we need his help!) I knew he meant well - he has such a kind and considerate heart. But I literally cried - CRIED - thinking my freshly planted bulbs would never survive... But with the first sign of warmer air, they started bursting through. Now all the little green stems and leaves are just out there teasing me and tickling the air with promises of the profusion of color and scent to come. I just cannot bear the wait much longer! The birds have been out in full force for a couple of weeks now - they need some color to dance around in! ;) I'll keep you posted, sister! Colorbursts of spring from Pennsylvania are almost on their way! Hugs - Nini

Oh Nini,, Spring is coming,,, soon... even though the Weather Peeps on T.V.( in Spokane) are saying we are due in rain and snow by this weekend (again)... While running errands yesterday,, we got a few snow flakes for just a few minutes.. Mama Nature has a snarky sense of humor!
