I've been trying to do some swaps that will get us involved in different things. We all have/had to learn certain skills along the way, so hope everyone
can try this even if they haven't done it before. It does give enough time to prepare ahead. You can teach an old dog new tricks! LoL!

Someone sent me a mug rug several years ago. It is about 4" x 6" . I like it for a cup of tea or coffee. It needs a bit more space to lay a snack on it too. I tend to make them larger, but a piece of copy paper folded in half (hamburger fold), it a good size...I think. 5" x 8"!

Had a change in plans today,, my Grand kiddos were suppose to come over,, but 2 have the sniffles.. so we cancelled our play date...
sew.... I made a "test' mug rug for myself.. Oh My! I am very pleased...
Now I can hardly wait for the swap!

I made 5" sq mug rugs... perfect size for a sweet tea cup, mug or soup bowl.
I remember making a quilted one several years ago,, but for the life of me, I can't find it or the pattern...
