You all may understand this. My daughter said to me "mom, you seem to be the oldest in this penpal group, any wise suggestions you have for the others".
LOL, really?! Well, I said to her "live your life". Then she said, how come you never said that to me growing up LOL.

I'm working on letters y'all! I've been painting my house, inside, before hubs gets home in 2 weeks from Afghanistan! Now, because of this coronavirus they are saying he may not be able to travel. Some of you know my situation and know this is difficult for me but God is watching over us all and will help where needed!

Dianna, glad he is almost home; that's exciting! I know that corona is making things difficult...the first case (outside of quarantine) was reported today, close to Houston. I hope with warmer weather, it will slow down/stop as it does with the flu. We are trying to just keep things stocked at the house if there is any disruption in the food/goods distribution system.I'll be glad when it's all over, to be honest.
Joan, I have a daughter like that: She keeps me cracked up!
Danyel, I sent you an email this morning to confirm some info. As soon as you let me know, I'll send the list your way and give your info to everyone else. :D

Hi ladies, I just sent out my first batch half of letters this last week. I had an envelope addressed to Krista and I think I may have enclosed her letter in one of the other envelopes! Sorry! Today I'll be writing my other letters plus a few to friends from the military. The weather has been beautiful but today is misty rain so no outdoors work! I pray everyone is staying well and healthy despite this pandemic! I will understand if you choose not to take any mail right now. Let me know and I'll wait till all is settled and wrote to you again. Its wonderfully peaceful and relaxing to write and share. Thank you for this forum. Blessings...

I will check and see if I sent you the newest one.
Y'all, I do apologize. Where I live, it is high gardening season (planting), and I have been really going nuts on the front yard. This year, more than ever for obvious reasons. I will also check in with Danyel. I am still working through the pen pal list and I will get more letters out! I was doing pretty well, and then it warmed up enough to plant. I have FORTY more tomatoes to find a place for. LOL. I may have gone a bit overboard? Oh well, I will have lots to can and lots to share. (God willing!)

Hi everyone,
I would love to be pen pals :) it’s been a while since I have been active on the boards but since we have been at home, I have been looking around a little - I’ve got my sour dough starter on my kitchen sink, and I have been thinking of starting a couple merit badges. I have been sending happy mail notes to friends and family and I would love to add letter writing to my days.
I will pop over and fill in the form and hope to be included whenever you have time :)

Sorry it took me a while. I have to get on my big (old) computer to get on the forum, and I hadn't booted it up in a while! I will collect y'alls info and add it to the list, then I'll email the entire list out to everyone again with the updates.
How is everyone doing? It is hot and dry here...getting crispy. In other words, it is TX summer! Blah. But at least the veggies are rolling in! I think that is my favorite part of summer. We have been blessed this week with lower humidity. The beginning of last week was just too much. It was 97 and probably near 100 percent humidity...I don't even know. I just can't take it anymore.
