Well ladies---we are going to the cabin shack tonight complete with all six dogs. Hubby is napping and we will get ready when he gets up---he tried to force me to nap with him and the two house dogs---not sleepy. Oh boy---his retirement in April is going to be such fun---LOL> All I will be doing is finding things for him and cooking and washing dishes. But tonight he is cooking while I slob around and work crossword puzzles and do sticker by number. He has to cut firewood when we get up there and I will nap then---OH BOY---this is the life for sure. This old semi-hippie has done alright.

Have fun at the cabin shack! It's been a few years since we have been camping, but we made a fire ring outside to have a fire. And, he cuts the wood! You can start a list of things for him to do. Lol!

The camping was great---very warm for November and a gentle rain on the roof. Hubby made a pizza while I relaxed and did my own thing. Great night of sleep---no sound in the woods and no appliances to make noise. The best part was when all the dogs piled on us and got in a fight on us in the bed in the morning and I thought it was funny and hubby got mad. Wanted to stay and enjoy the fire, but got to feed animals and get busy. Life do get tedious.

Barbara,, I can not tell you how many times I have gone out into the Barn these past few weeks and just sat in my trailers... I so want to hit the road.. but alas.. I have to wit toil Spring or.. move to Florida! lol!

I do that too Grace---sometimes I sit by the creek and look across at our little cabin and I wish I could stay there---but Duties and Sam's Club calls. Oh---how glad I will be when April comes and hubby retires and we are free from that horrid place.

Up to the cabin with the dog pack for Christmas late solstice. Merry Christmas to all! Frozen pizza for all and hubby is smoking a salmon for tomorrow---I am going to sit on my happy ass and read a book---LOL. Also I get a cabin bath---feels like old days of yore and somehow you fee cleaner in the woods---LOL again.

I can imagine that camping in the mountains this time of year is very special! It all sounds wonderful to me as I love the Blue Ridge Mountains in all the seasons. Glad you and hubby had fun!
