Well, it's really time to clean up out in my summer tired garden... I didn't have much time this year to do any real gardening like I would have liked,, and then the 'Rats with Antlers' snuck in and helped themselves to my Roses, tomatoes and apples... oh well,,, there is always next year...

Grace and Michele it's been incredibly hot and dry here and both my veggie garden and flower garden are still hanging on for me as I continue to water and weed ( even tho I am drained) and pollinators concluding hummers are still visiting!! As MUCH as I'd like to clean and put mine to sleep I think it will be at LEAST 60 more days!!! But little by little I harvest the seeds and clean out the dead stuff so it won't be too overwhelming! I still have pumpkins soon to harvest!:) my fav Sara, I too am planting a few pieces of garlic then thats IT! HOWEVER I can't wait for next year!!:)

Most of my gardening is done in 4 raised beds and containers. The rest is beds along sidewalk to front porch and across front of house so I don't have too much to do.
Like Dianna I am dreaming and planning for next year.

You're so lucky Sara! I've been wanting to do that but I need help making them and just haven't gotten it yet so I have a half acre flower garden and a half acre veggie that has to be weeded and cleaned often. I DREAM of a low maintenance garden for sure, lol!!!btw, close to hitting 100 here today, how about you??

Hi of 92 with hi humidity so it'll feel 100 or more.
Last year I gave up driving because of MS and sold my 1995 Cougar. I had bought it new so it had been with me for 23 years. I used part of the money to do something I always wanted - raised beds. Had 4 raised beds built. They are 1'X 1' X 8' and sit on 2 high cinder blocks so I don't have to bend over to work them. One of the best things I ever did was to have those raised beds built. I now can garden into my 80s and beyond.
