My sister-in-law and I set up at the 127 garage sales together this year. We did great!!!! I did notice that there was not as much traffic as in earlier years but our stuff went like hot cakes. I had a lot of stuff there that belonged to my DH and most of that sold. We had a lot of stuff we just didn't need at this house so we priced it to sell and it sold. We started out with 20 tables full of stuff and the bigger stuff sitting on the ground. We didn't even have a car load to bring home. That was such a blessing.

Awesome sauce Lori! Love yards sales! We used to go every weekend with my family, then as my kids were growing up! I hardly see ANY around where I luve now. WTG!

I read about it, but it's a ways for us to drive. Next weekend is an estate auction, so I'll go to that.

Thanks girls. It was a blast. The weather was in the 80's so not too hot. We had a nice breeze and a was under a tent. What more could I ask for? It was fun having someone there with me all day too. The time went by faster. I had people tell me that there was not as many sales along the way and that the traffic was not as congested as it used to be.

Happy for you! I love garage sales but hard to go when you don't have access to a car. But at 62 I think it is a blessing I can no longer go---I have gotten so many treasures over the years I can't absorb any more.

Way to go Lori! That is so awesome! I would love to clear out like that. Lol. Just this last weekend we cleaned out our garage and sold a few large items. Now I'm ready to do more. I'm happy for you!

Congrats Lori on a successful at the big garage sale!! I am please to hear that you did well too. It is so much fun to take in a big event , like you did, and look at the many things for sale. I can always find something that is a must have!! It makes clearing out rewarding too!!

Winnie, I am always saying that I need to de-clutter my house but when I hit the garage sales,,,,,,, all is lost. I come home with a car load of yummies that I couldn't pass up. I found a coffee table for 2 dollars, well built. Just missing the glass pieces that go on the top. I'm going to refurbish it and make it into a farmhouse beauty. Fun! Fun! Fun! We met so many wonderful people from all over the country. Some even came from Canada. It was a blast talking to all of them.
