Has anyone done a paint night or a painting class? They are so much fun! I attended a paint night last night with my mother in law. This is my second one and I am hooked! I came home and told my hubby that he needs to go to one with me now. I found the perfect place for my new artwork! I love being creative!!

Oh Krista, those are just so beautiful, bright and HAPPY!!! SUPER!! Yes, we have a place here called All About Art and not only can you walk in and paint ceramics, canvas, wooden letters, mosaic BUT they have Friday night specials for adults only. BYOB AND paint! I don't bmob! But I sure enjoy the creative process and at the end of the evening you step back and look at 30 different artists rendition of the same object, well it blows me away! Not to mention a few of the drinking women can sure entertain us!! They also have Saturday for kids and summer camps!! So inspiring isn't it?? Xx

Krista, I have never heard of Paint night but it does sound fun!! Your project turned out very nice and I love the bright ciolors and sweet message!!

That is beautiful Krista! We have a few places in my town who have painting parties. I have no talent whatsoever in that department and have felt too insecure to go to one. Maybe one day I will work up the courage, then again maybe not!

I love paint classes! Used to go often when I lived in FL, and have gone to one here in KY. The best places are encouraging and give you time for each step. .jpg?v 54870705)

Krista, lucky you... I am totally 'paint challenged!!'
I took a Donna Dewberry 1-stroke painting class (many) years ago...
well, let's just say, I know my limitations,,, my 'art work' looked like I not only had been drinking wine,, but from the looks of my work,, I may have had 1-2 bottles of wine!!!
and truly, there was no wine anywhere to be seen,,, so I can't blame the wine!

Dianna, there wasn't any lady's drinking at his paint night, but I can only imagine how entertaining they could be!
Winnie, thank you. You should definitely look into one in your area and try it out! They are so fun.
Michele, it was a very nice break from all my mommy duties for the night!
Dawn, I felt the same way before my first paint night. I'm lucky if I can even draw a stick figure! But they help you step by step and it's amazing how they turn out in the end! You should really give it a try!
Vicki, please keep me updated on your future paint night!

Krista I love that! I have a few signs I've painted. I've never taken a class, but I use youtube to learn techniques. My friend gave me a vintage easel that I cleaned up & will set up once we move. Here are some roses I painted with acrylics. I also want to try watercolors. I daydream about painting the mountains once we move into our new home

Connie, those roses are beautiful! I use acrylics as well. I haven't tried water color yet. Seems like it might be harder. I would love to see all your new paintings. When are you moving?
