I purchased this rug in 1972 from an individual that I know that ran an antique and gardening shop. That same year she purchased a trunk of old rugs from a friend. The friend had inherited an estate from his uncle in New Mexico. The rug seemed to be very old then. I would lke some suggestions on how to make this rug into a walk hanging without damageing it. The rug is 25" by 56". Thanks

Patsy,, what a lovely rug,,, not knowing what the material is or how thick.. but is it possible to hand stitch on a "casing" so you can run a curtain rod through it? or using fabric glue you could 'glue' on Tabs near the top to run a rod through.
