Whoot Whoot this years theme for 2019 is...

QUILTS!

Fabric quilts, paper quilts and barn quilts...
Use your imagination for creativity...
Mini quilts or lap quilts or even bed sized quilts.

I am thinking I might make a table runner quilt...

I have seen some fantastic paper quilts... might be fun to use a "Cricuit " machine to cut out the paper pieces ... oh, how about Greeting cards with a quilt theme on the front...

I love 'Barn Quilts '... but I would need my hubby to assist ...
What about a quilt garden?.. using a 9-patch pattern, you could plant flowers or herbs...
"Sew " many fun Ideas!

Let the celebration begin!

If my car were not stuffed to the gills...I would be hitting the quilt stores in Palm Desert.....and any along the way while traveling in California... but there is no room left in the car....and I am sure my hubby would give me 'the look ' if I bought one more piece of fabric!
Lolololol!

So I guess I will have to wait till I return to Spokane and dig through my fabric stash to make my table quilt.

I love the quilt theme too even if I have only made one quilt square in my life and a few pathwork pillows---would patchwork pillows count? Grace you obviously need a luggage rack on top of your car for your finds---unless you already have one. And remember clothes and fabric pack tighter if you roll them.

Today I received an e-mail from Colonial Patterns for their Warehouse sale. I ordered a pkg with 17 quilt patterns to be embroidered - $2. I am planning on using them as wool applique patterns for my Jubilee projects. I have used embroidery patterns for wool applique patterns so I know some will work. I made copies of the patterns - cut them up for wool applique.

Also ordered 3 linen re-usable drawstring bags for $2 each. May use them for front porch pillows. Appliqued wool quilt squares on them. Should work.

Becky our Jubilee is celebrated on MaryJane's birthday which I believe is May 6. This year it falls on a Monday so I'm guessing the Jubilee will be the weekend of May 4-5.

I start decorating the first of May and take everything down in a week or two. I mostly decorate my kitchen; frontporch; and Yellow Rose Cottage. Quilts is our theme and we do it our way - as little or as much as we want to do.

Becky,,, yep,, Sara hit it on the nose,,,
We enjoy sharing along the way what we are making.. some gals finish their project soon and others later...

I am going to make a quilt table runner... and while out running errands today, I found my perfect fabric...
but not gonna tell anyone yet what the fabric is, but their is lots of pink in it,, heeheehee...

I need to finish packing away my Christmas deco,,, which should be done by this weekend... and then after that I will start on my table runner...

Becky, just have fun...

Oh and don't forget, you can stitch up lots of blocks and then cut out a apron skirt.... or make a chef apron from quilted blocks..

Winnie,,, I like the quilt deco pillow idea...

Grace cute flamingo fabric. Yesterday I went to an estate sale and found a crazy quilt pillow for $2. It's on a living room chair now but may put it on front porch for the Jubilee. Thinking about making a crazy quilt garden flag. The apron one I made for our first Jubilee is starting to look a little weatherworn.

Oh Sara,, luv 'crazy quilts' as no 2 are alike!

I need to hit a Thrift or 2/3/4... heehee... in search of a cast of old quilt,, I have seen quilted baby sized blankets,, I thin it would be fun to repurposes it into a table runner or deco pillow or apron,,, hmmm,,,
I will have my 3 grandkiddos tonight through Wednesday nite (mama is out of State for a conference and daddy works 6am to 4pm) so I get them all to myself,, well and will share with my DH...
So after they return to their home I will much need a junktiquing day!!! lol!

Oh and Sara,, I am glad you mentioned Garden Flag,, I need to make a new one too! hmmmm.... what shall I create???

Nifty table runner, Grace, good job.

The Jubilee will be in May - May flowers - the flower cone wall sconce Grace posted would make a great Jubilee quilted May basket to hang on a neighbor's door or your own. Another Jubilee project just got added to my growing list.

Instead of a cone shape a toilet paper or paper towel roll could be used for the base depending on what size you wanted to make. I have made little fall ones using toilet paper rolls. I flattened the roll and stapled one end. Covered with strips of fabric using white glue and jute to hang it. I like to hang the small ones on cabinet doors.

I have also made the cone shape using a square quilted pot holder. The possibilities are endless on how to do it.

Ohhh, Sara, one could pour in a wee bit of lavender buds in the base of the cone for a lovely scent...

So happy with the quilt theme Grace. Now to find the two quilt pieces I found at Goodwill last year so I can see how I will repurpose them. Also I would like to possibly make a table runner. Excited to get started.
Thank you Grace.
