18 degree weather... perfect day for sewing...
first I made this proto-type 'mitten'
I used up large scraps of fabric as well as bits of trims... I also machine embroidered names on the mittens.
I decided to make these rather than stockings....
I also stitched up this 38x58 panel,
the center piece has been sitting in my stash for 2 years...not to mention the fabrics to add onto the top and sides.
I want to hand embellish it with seed beads and trims before I put on the backing.
It's a tad to big to not do some top stitching,, but I will deal with that later..
Fingers crossed it won't end up in my UFO pile... lol!

How cute Grace. Just make some hot cocoa and you won't even mind the temps *giggle*. I like to put on a Christmas movie as I'm sewing (I've taken over the living room since I don't have a sewing room).

Love them Grace! I agree with Heather! Make some hot cocoa, put on a Christmas movie, and sew away! This is what I have been doing at nights once the kids are in bed. It makes the season more exciting.
