I just lived that clock Nora! What a find! I had so much trouble finding ANYTHING with bees here! So thats why you got a combination of art and purchased! :) the cosmos seeds are fresh from my garden too.

OH MY STARS ABOVE!!!! My Bee swap from Barbara just arrived and what a treasure trove!! Literally a treasure trove~ Included in this box was a darling little tea pot, little honey pot, honey bear with clover honey to use, a cute Bee doll and fun mug, a little Bee flower pot decoration , really neat vintage brochures from the West Virginia Dept. of Agriculture on all sorts of bee keeping tips and honey recipes. Plus, she passed on to me a collection of 9 of her Janey aprons, her Great Grandfather's old cigar box, and 4 pairs of matching handkerchiefs in lovely flower prints. Barbara, you totally spoiled me!! I just love all of these goodies. I am sure I will keep several of the Janey aprons, but then I promise to find good homes for the others! Your Great Grandfather's cigar box is really neat and I like it just as it is!! It fits perfectly in my Log Cabin decor!! the older and more primitive, the better!!
Here are some photos to share. The first one is one of the beautiful Janey aprons. Can't you imagine someone wearing this for a special summer Sunday dinner? It is in mint condition too.
The next photo is the apron collection across the back of the sofa and arm. These aprons are all in wonderful condition and still have many years of use left in them.
The last photo shows the other Bee swap goodies that were in the box. It was all so amazing!! You can see the cute vintage handkerchiefs that she used to wrap everything in! So cute!!
Thank-you Barbara for all of the lovely Bee goodies and for entrusting me with some of your Janey aprons and Great Grandpa's cigar box. I will cherish them and give them a good home!!

Winnie---glad you liked the package. I had such fun fixing it for you. I used to wear the aprons a little when I was young, but they are too fancy for me now as I am usually covered in dirt here at the farm. I am trying to pass on some of the things that I have collected over the years. The old cigar box was in my attic for twenty years and I never did use it for anything although I loved it.
