The other day at work my boss told me about a coworker who became the accidental owner of a goose egg. Apparently her dog was running around and found it, and brought it back to her to play fetch. The egg was in perfect condition, not a crack. She didn't know what to do with it so she took it home, wrapped it up in some old rags and put it in a box. Well, I texted jer after I heard she had it, and told her my broody chickens cpuld possibly sit on it. She brought the egg to work it its box all wrapped up, and it is now sitting in the breakroom as I work. She said she had candled it and the first day she saw movement. Tonight I am going to give it to my chickens and see if they will hatch it. I really hope it works out. My pond has 2 constant goose visitors, Hekyll and Jekyll, and this morning I saw 5 baby geese on the pond, so if the egg hatches, I'm hoping to set the little one loose with its own peeps.
