Please add the community of Sutherland Springs, TX to your prayers this week. They lost 26 people this morning in a mass shooting at the First Baptist Church. I am really at a loss for words, but I know they will need prayers for a very long time to come.

Praying for the families and friends of the people who were lost in this horrible tragedy. Lord be with them and help through the terror of it all. Lord comfort them in their grief.

Prayers for all the families of lost and injured love ones. Prayers for the little town, Texas, and America. Also prayers for the local man with the rifle who may have taken the shooter out. It's something he will have to live with for the rest of his life.
Prayers to turn men's hearts from evil to good before they kill.

Just heard on Fox News and I was wrong. The shooter took his own life after crashing his car after exchanging gunfire with the local man chasing him. It's a blessing the local man didn't kill him but he did stop him from getting away.

May the nation pray for the grieving hearts from this incident and all recent tragedies. May we pray that angry hearts be softened so that violence does not occur. May we pray that love permeate instead of anger and hate. God hears our prayers. Anne

I seen some information about this on the news this morning and it just broke my heart. Such a sad thing. I will be keeping all the families in my thoughts.

What is so sad is this was a domestic violence act. His in-laws attended this church. Not sure of the details and the irony is the in-laws weren't at church that day. He went after total strangers. I feel awful for the in-laws as they may be carrying a heavier burden and extremely sad for the whole town, but as one survivor stated. They are in the arms of Jesus.

My husband told me that, too, Nancy. And he had been arrested previously for seriously injuring his former 1 yr old stepson. Just a terrible thing all the way around. :(
