I have been dreaming all day today about key lime pie! It is my ultimate guilty food pleasure. It was such a strong craving with my last pregnancy that I would eat a slice a day! Lol so my question is... what is your guilty food pleasure and how often are you guilty for eating it?

Do-si-do (FKA savanna) Girl Scout cookies. Thank goodness they are only available a month or two each year, but when they are available I can pack them away.

Fresh bread, warm from the oven, spread with butter and dipped in olive oil mixed with garlic and Italian spices. It is THE BOMB. Plain bread is good dipped too, but butter it first? You approach the divine!!! :) I haven't indulged in a LONG time!

Now this is a question that has many answers!! LOL!!! Pretty much any dessert would fit in this category for me. I don't keep sweets around the house so homemade anything tastes wonderful to me!

Diana- potato chips are a great choice! I like the baked ones best!

Jana- I agree! We would be in trouble if they sold Girl Scout Cookies all year. I love the Thin Mint cookies. I will buy some and store them in the freezer. They are so good cold!

Jamie- you always have the yummiest comfort food recipes! That sounds so good right now. I think you are due to indulge!

Winnie-we don't keep sweets around either, so that helps when a craving kicks in. But then it also gets me obsessing over the dessert and I'll get what I need to make it the next time I'm at the store. Homemade desserts are amazing.

Another really good guilty food pleasure is a Fazookie! It's a warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie with vanilla ice cream and caramel on top! Yum!

Frozen yogurt with all the fixins!
There is a shop down the street. Anytime I have a chance I stop in. It is a family run shop and very quaint. It is my guilty pleasure because I don't share it with anyone.

I have never heard of a fazookie! What a fun name! Mine is dark chocolate with coffee in the afternoon, most afternoons! I let my kids have screen time in the afternoon, but usually I have one of the little ones with me and I share my chocolate with them. It's our little secret!

Lay's potatoes chips. I buy the 50 cent bag and eat the whole thing. There's something so satisfying about eating chips out of the bag.

My guilty pleasure is such that I have to hide it from Lowell (DH). He's THE food police where I am concerned. I like plain potato chips dipped in sour cream or Greek yogurt. I buy a large bag of chips and a large container of sour cream and destroy the evidence!

Sounds like a perfect counter balance...sweets to salty!

Jaime, I have to agree with you on fresh bread warm out of the oven and butter, that is a close second to my girl scout cookies!

Marie, how did you discover dipping your chips in sour cream? I would have never thought to try that. One of my favorite things to dip in sour cream is chicken strips!

Ice cream! But it has to be GOOD ice cream! Coffee flavors, English Toffee, Baskin-Robbins Pralines and cream . . . there are others!

CJ- I agree! Ice cream has to be good! English toffee is a wonderful flavor. Actually anything English toffee is yummy! My favorite cappuccino is English toffee flavored. My dad also makes a delicious vanilla bean ice cream!

Nora- what's your favorite kind of pizza?

Marlene- I typically go for smaller amounts of ice cream too. It's crazy but ice cream makes me cough. I'm thinking it has something to do with it being cold, so I just eat less.

Speaking of Ice Cream, has anyone tried the Ben and Jerry vegan ice cream?

I can do without sweets...it's the salty crunchies that get me! I would eat pounds of chips and dip if I could! Any kind, I don't even care. I also love popcorn and crackers/cheese. I don't buy Pringles because I'll eat the entire can.

Though I enjoy a variety of delicious baked goods, I have to say trail mix is my greatest downfall. I can inhale a full bag of it instantly. I had gotten so bad that I now buy the bag with the serving size packages inside and allow myself only one per day.

Trail mix IS delicious. We bought some for a road trip and I ate more than I'll admit.

Amanda- I love the BBQ flavored Pringles. I could eat a whole can of them! I haven't purchased any of those in a long time. Hum... maybe I'll get me some next time I'm at the store! Lol

Dawn- Trail mix is a great choice. I don't like raisins so I tend to pick them out and give them to someone else. I really love the ones full of dried fruits.

Love this thread. I can’t believe no one else has said....

Wait for it...

My mouth is watering...

MACARONI AND CHEESE!

Not the boxed kind with powder stuff, but the real thing with gooey cheese. Oh my word. My hips gained an inch just thinking about it.

Next would be CHOCOCLATE CHIP COOKIES! Here’s the thing...I can’t just eat the cookies. I sneak taste the dough, too.

Potato chips aren’t a big favorite for me, but I could eat a trough of tortilla chips, especially the blue corn variety.

Okay. Now I am munchie.

:)
