![]() Our theme for the month of October is Halloween costume/characters! Examples would be a unicorn...good witch...jack-o-lantern...hero, etc. Any shape just true to an ATC size!! I'm so excited about this one! I've noticed so many adorable costumes around the stores that I thought it would be quite adventuresome! So, any type of medium you want to use AND SHAPE as long as the card is standard size of 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 heavy cardstock or prepared cardboard from cereal boxes and such. You may sew, paint, mix media, fiber, etc. for your trade. Make sure you sign the backs and title it and date it! Let's have FUN with HALLOWEEN!
Sign ups begin now through Oct. 15th. Parners posted 16th and mail out by Oct.25. As always we will assign ONE partner per ONE card but if you wish to make more it's up to you. :) Any questions just shoot them to me!! K?
Also if you are new to ATC's here is a brief description:
Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) is a conceptual art project initiated by the Swiss artist M. Vänçi Stirnemann in 1997. He called it a Collaborative Cultural Performance. Artist Trading Cards are 2 1#8260;2 by 3 1#8260;2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards (hockey cards or baseball cards). They are self-made unique works or small series, signed and dated on the reverse by the artist/producer, exchanged and collected by the people who participate in the collaborative performance.[1]
You can find a pattern online via google search and fit TEN ATC's on one piece of card stock. Or here is you can print it out.

I found something at my Craft store that gave me a real fit of giggles. Just to put you all in context, I had a horrible night last night. My 5 year-old wouldn't stop complaining about a stomachache and I spent a good deal of the night with him. So, not much sleep - at all-! I decided I deserved a reward. And, well, most time that not, my reward is going to my craft store :)
So, long story short, I was browsing the Halloween alley (Christmas is already taking over!!), when I stumbled upon a cute pack of spiders with a pun-like catch phrase: "So glad we met on the web". I laugh so hard and simply couldn't stop! Granted, I was tired but still, I knew I add to do something with it!
So, my secret partner this month, be prepared to receive a little something with that phrase on! -^-^- |

Hey Marilou! I pray your son is feeling better by now? I think there is a bug going around as it is hitting here in southern Alabama also! Your card sounds like its going to be adorable! I am mega behind this week so I hope to catch up on all projects by Monday. We will have some indoor time by Saturday afternoon. A tropical storm is approaching so what better way to spend time stuck inside doing art?

He is feeling better, fortunately because we have family coming over on the week-end. He seems to be the only one who was sick; let's pray it stays that way! -^-^-
