Hi April, yes, I received your address and mailed out your package today. With Hurricane Irma coming our way, I wanted to get it up on out of the state and headed west in case we all lose power etc from the storm for many days. I hope you enjoy!

Hi Winnie - I received my apples today! Just love the kitchen towel with the witch or scarecrow boots, it's already hanging in my kitchen! Too cute! Thank you for my other goodies, apple crisp mix, your homemade apple sauce, crocheted dish rag, MJF coaster, apple mug rug and the darling vintage post cards! It was so much fun to open, thank you! Yours went in the mail this morning, hopefully you'll have it by the end of the week. Sure hope you're weathering the storm safely! (( hugs )) April

Heather, I received your amazing package today. Great mind's think a like, they say, so your package has some of the same tea. Did you knit and crochet all of the pot holders?? They are too pretty to cook with so they are on display with my latest mini apron collection, which arrived from that swap on Saturday. I love the vintage apron! I think my husband's grandmother had one similar to it. So it brought back memories. Thank you so much. Yours should receive your package by Saturday. Do you still milk cows??? I used to do that too!

Hi April-- ohhhh, my Apple package arrived today!! it was so full of beautiful items too. I love them all and the Apple Pie snaps are new to me and as you can see, I already opened them to enjoy!! Thank-you April for such wonderful swap filled with Apple goodness. When we get our power back, I will post a photo here to share. For some reason it won't load onto this site from my phone.
Now I think I might just need a cup of my cinnamon apple spice tea with a cookie!

Good morning everyone from the local laundromat!! For those of us still without power, we gather here to catch up on laundry so it doesn't pile up to the ceiling!!Lol!! I really can't complain about the power loss because so many in Florida have been ravaged by storm waters and we're in the hurricane path when it was its strongest.
I am so happy that everyone is having fun with our annual Apple Festival Swap!! It is always lots of fun and I love kicking off the season with lots of apple goodness!!

Winnie, I'm Glad you have a laundromat nearby. We card swappers made apple cards for September. Most of us had problems finding apple stickers. I said perhaps teachers bought them but someone said they had trouble finding them too. I hope you have power again soon. Prayers for God's blessings

Thank you Marilyn for the apple goodies! Great minds think alike :) I love the apple stationary. The candy is yummy too. I just turned on my warmer to change out the wax for an apple pie one. I bet it makes me hungry LOL.
I didn't make the pot holder, but I did make the other 2. The bigger one is a dichcloth and the smaller one is a mug rug. (You can use them for whatever you like though.) And yup - I still milk cows. How many and what kind did you milk? We have 42 cows milking right now. Most are holstiens and there's a few jersey's in there. Here's our newest jersey:

Heather your new baby is adorable! We milked 100 Holstein cows. They were huge, some as tall as me and I am 5'7". I loved them! I learned so much from them. We ran two Jersey bulls with our cows, they fussed a lot. My sister is a city girl and has always believed herself to be superior to me...but I have lived among and learned from God's creatures. Even though I have a college degree, and taught school...My best and most valuable leading has come from cows, pigs, horses, dogs, cats, deer, wild turkeys, birds, donkeys, chickens etc. I am not the country bumpkin that my sister believes I am...but I prefer to spend my time where I can see the stars and moon at night, the clouds building to show a weather change coming, I love the smell of God's perfumes...roses, flowers, trees, and the first raindrops on parched earth. I prefer to hear the birds and animal sounds rather than twelve lanes of speeding vehicles, honking horns and sirens day and night. I loved the dairy barn on a cold morning, after the cows were in place, washed up and the doors were c!osed, the rhythm of them chewing their food, the Milker's sucking the milk out of those enormous udders, the tails swishing... Their body heat and the warm water made it a nice place to be...out of the North wind.
