Oh good stars!!!!
To make a short story long...
I had just received my Aug/Sept issue of the MJF magazine... deciding to pace myself...I had only read up to the article on probiotics...
Well we had 2 showings for our house yesterday (our house is on the market)... and the 2nd couple, the wife had laid her cell phone on the counter... and when they left she forgot her phone... the Realtor stopped by to retrive it. The Realtor said the wife loved my sewing room and all the aprons hanging in there. The wife wants to sew, garden, can jams etc...
Needless to say I told the Realtor to tell her client about 'MJF forum'... then I said let me give you my magazine to give to her.

Now I will have to go to the store(market) to buy another one so I can finish reading it...lol! Oh well.... I know she will love it...
just sharing the dream....
:>)

Too funny Grace! Let's hope the act of kindness and kindred spirit clinches the deal and you see your house to the second couple.

Grace,
What a sweet thing you did for her. She will love MJF and you for introducing her to a new host of sisters. If they buy your house and I hope they do, you may have just sold it to your future Farmsister. YAY! Life doesn't get much better than that.

Hugs!

I am just happy to bring another 'long lost' sister to the 'farm'.

I plan to be in town next week...so I will pick up another issue of the MJF magazine... maybe I will pop over to the Library first, to see if they carry MJF... our old Library back in Airway Heights had subscriptions to several magazines including MJF.

I have plenty of back issues of MJF mags... one would think I would have given away one of them.. Duhhhh! Lol!

WOW! Grace that was a really good gesture. I have all my MJF magazines in one spot (mostly) and refer to back issues off and on.

Yep,, as soon as I handed it over,,, my brain silently screamed inside my head,, "You Ding Dong,, what are you doing?"... lolol!

But,, it's ok,,, I will find another one...even if I have to drive down to the City to get one.

I spotted a article in this issue,on Hat stands re-purposed from found objects... I have to laugh,,, I did that with a wooden (from the dollar store) paper towel holder,,, painted it,,, padded the top and removed the little peg at the base.. I would post a pic,,, but,,, it's packed away along with all of my vintage hats.... (while the house is on the market)...

A little MJF Bribery never hurt anyone! I am too greedy with anything MJF! I will give out the info for subscriptions, but the mags and especially the books, are not permitted to leave my home. I just caught my Mom trying to abscond with my Milk Cow Kitchen earlier today - thank God it is Summer and she had no where to hide it on her! All of my mags are in magazine file holders that I bought specially just for my copies of MJF - chronological and very neat. Little "flags" stick out of the top where I am working on obtaining the individual back issues from before I knew it existed. It is the only magazine I have ever read cover to cover, every word, every issue, in my entire life.

Grace that was a wonderful thing to do and I'm sure you will be repaid some one of these days when someone pays it forward. The best kindnesses are sometimes the spur of the moment ones.

Grace that was a wonderful thing that you did. I'm sure with here interests, she'll love the magazine and perhaps we'll gain a new sister. Wouldn't that be something?! I hope you find a new magazine soon!

Hi Katmom,
So glad you are planning to move. Come on back to the Pacific Northwest. If you stick to the Idaho side of the WA/ID area taxes are so much less especially if you are in the county and not city limits. And in northern Idaho it is more woodsy with less desert than is found in lower and central Idaho and Washington states. I hope all goes smoothly for you. Things happen for a reason and I wouldn't be surprised if they come back and make an offer. I know we got our home up here because the owner learned I was a MJF member and they wanted someone who would appreciate and utilize the acreage. Take care now! Annie

Grace, I'm almost positive I can find a copy at our Tractor Supply. Do you want me to grab one and mail it to you? I'd be happy to do so!

Annie, I support your endorsement of the Pacific Northwest! I'm in western Washington in the Puget Sound region and it is incredibly expensive but I love it so much and never plan on leaving. I want to do a road trip to MJF this fall. I believe the drive is about 5 hours and I've wanted to visit the farm since I lived back east and would have had to fly to get there. Idaho, Montana, Wyoming - all incredibly beautiful!

Rachel, I'd double check with the Farm if they allow "dropping in" at the farm.Years ago you could and I have been a few times--even got to go camping there. A while back I thought I read they no longer allow people to drop in freely. No 100% sure. I agree with you endorsement of the PNW. I live in the northeast corner of Wa which has mountains and trees. It's called the "Forgotten Corner" mainly because it's pretty out of the way --we're about 65 miles north of Spokane

JoAnn, I've never been to your corner of the state. We moved here three years ago and literally drove through eastern Washington about 1am on a Saturday morning. I haven't been back through since, but I want to explore. My brother wants to move out here and I'm recommending the Spokane area since it's considerably less expensive than Seattle metro where we are! And I definitely wouldn't drop into the farm unannounced. If I went, I'd coordinate it with them as to not surprise them. If I actually get out there is another question completely - too little time these days!

Grace, thanks for being so generous with your magazine. Maybe that couple will buy your house and anyway you probably made a new farm friend. There is beauty in many places in the USA. I love Minnesota. We have mountains, lakes, prairies and farms. Our harsh winters allow us to get a lot of craft projects done. Ideal for quilting. Best wishes to wherever you move.

Annie,,, I did some of my best 'junktiquing over in the Pan Handle,,, Rathdrum and Post Falls...luv it...
Hey Joann,,, long time, no see... hugz

JoAnn... heading back to the West Plain/Spokane... if we can sell this house.... That is option #1...
Option #2 is to be 'snow birds ' ... to lock up this house for the summer months and live in Spokane and then head back here after Thanksgiving...
So we will have to see what happens as to which option we take...
