We made our first pilgrimage of the year to Mt. Rainier National Park this past weekend, and I wanted to share a few of my favorite shots. We ventured to Sunrise, which is at an altitude of 6400 feet and is the highest point in the park you can reach by car. The road just opened two days before (once the snow had all been cleared away). Sunrise is on a mountain that is next to Rainier's northeast face.

We bought an annual pass and plan on heading back down there soon. It's about a two hour drive and there is nothing like it in the world. It's holy, sacred ground to me!

Gorgeous photos! I have seen Mt. Rainier from the distance so I love getting your photos that are closer in.
