I am excited to see the hostess aprons. I pinned a bunch of apron patterns late last night. Victorian, 1920s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. It was amazing to me to see how the styles changed over the years.

Sew true.... from protecting ones clothing to functional to decorative ..
in some cases they were worn as a 'uniform'.. waitresses, hair salons , hotel cleaning staff and even the Sees candy clerks(early on)..
but we love them all...

I've added all those who mentioned getting Fall fabric ready, too. Please check and let me know if I added you in error. We are up to 8 already I think. LOL!

I've got all the fancy aprons now. The last batch came yesterday, but I wasn't home until this afternoon - after 2 doctor appts, 2 hospitals for tests, and 1 x-ray appt. I will be having a knee scope on Tuesday, if all the tests are okay, which I see no reason why they wouldn't. I'm apprehensive about this surgery but everyone says it is easy - not a total knee replacement. I will get them sorted and mail them out on Monday.

Linda you may need to chill out to keep your bp in normal range. The day I went for oral surgery I was scared and my bp was high and it stayed that way. As I was coming to I overheard the pros discussing it. The following week back in the dental office it was 121 over 71.

LOL! When she first took my BP today it was 160/90 - I've never had it that high. When she took it a bit later it was 120/60. I had calmed down a bit. The Ortho Dr. had his gal call my dr. to get me in TODAY for pre-op. Her office told him no way they were booked solid. They called again and asked to talk to the dr. and told her that the ortho doctor wanted me in today. I was finally set up with her NP, but they told me it was with my doctor. So I was upset when I found out I was not seeing her. It took 3 hours to get the appointment at my Dr. but they did get me in. I was upset. My doctor did come in and said she knew I was upset but to not be upset with them - it was the ortho who demanded I get in today. That she liked more time for the tests, etc. She said he was pushing the limit.

Today I had ortho appt., then ultrasound of legs to rule out blood clots, then to my doctor for EKG, then to get my bloodwork, then down the street to get x-ray. I left the house at 8 and had nothing to eat until 4 o'clock. WHEW!

My doctor said to keep my feet raised and take it easy until my surgery. I can do that.

I'm nervous about the surgery, but I know it will come out well.

Drink lots of fluids and eat healthy just before your surgery Linda! It will help you bounce back quickly! Saying a prayer or two to help as well!

Will do, Dianna. My legs are already swollen because of the water I've been drinking and working outside. The steroids he gave me made me gain weight and I hate that. Now I have even more to lose.

Just to let you all know - my knee scope surgery has been postponed from tomorrow to Monday, July 31. My surgeon does not take any chances for infection, and does not allow ANY open sores. I have 2 mosquito bites I scratched that are almost healed, but not enough. Please keep good thoughts and prayers coming. HUGS!

Yes - grin and bear it without scratching. I hope I don't get any more flea or mosquito bites.

Have you tried putting meat tenderizer on them? It often stops the itch.
