My neighbor just went to a family wedding, young couple in their twenties. The bride decided to have the two grandmothers from each side be the flower girls, both in their 70's. I love that idea, I had never heard of that being done before, I have seen pets and such but not grandmothers. Totally beautiful idea in my book. Hugs Karla

That is a great idea! I'm sure it would have greater meaning for the grandmothers too!

I will most certainly remember to mention that to my grandchildren LOL. I have 2 girls and 2 boys. What a hoot that would be. I bet the Grams were delighted.

Such a Lovely Idea Karla! I am sure The Grandma's were thrilled and honored.
I have seen many wedding variations too. My favorite is a Single Mom walking
her own daughter down the isle...in place of the Father. After all she had to
be both Mom/Dad to her child.

Thanks for sharing such a great idea!

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

That is such a wonderful idea, I wish I had thought of that 37 years ago when I got married. Sounds like a tradition worth starting!

That is precious! My daughter who was widowed at a young age walked my granddaugher down the isle (my daughter had just recently married again, and her daughter and son gave her away), My daughter raised a girl and a boy on her own. My grandson is planning on getting married a year from now and wants his Mom to give him away! So heartwarming and precious to this Grammy :)
Thanks for sharing this sweetness!
