UPDATE: my mom had her last dose of radiation today, here is a picture of her going back to work afterward. Her coworkers are so sweet they had a little party for her!
UPDATE:
OK, it wasn't a biopsy it was a lumpectomy. She did very well, and is back at work and healing nicely. There is still plenty of bruising and swelling so we're not sure how it will end up once that all goes away. She's having very little pain, thank goodness!
Hey ladies, as the subject suggests, my mom is having a breast biopsy this Friday, they're expecting to take about 1/3 of the left one. She has DCIS and a very good prognosis from her doctors, but this is her third cancer diagnosis in two years, and she's just barely recovered from her last surgery.
She did the genetic testing and they didn't find any of the markers, so it does appear to be a series of unfortunate coincidences, but I know it's still rough on her physically and emotionally.

Rachel, I will put you and your mother in my daily prayers. I am battling breast cancer myself right now and I know how that can take a toll on your emotions and heart. Pray all goes well with the biopsy.

Rachel - That picture just brings such happy tears to my eyes! What an awesome way to celebrate! How is she doing now? We're doing the Relay for Life next weekend - I'll definitely be saying an extra prayer for her that day! Hugs - Nini
