Some very important people in my life are in need of prayer right now.
My grandparents are both in the hospital again. I just found out last night my grandpa had another stroke Monday (makes at least 4 in about as many weeks). No one called me. I was at the farm when I found out, over 2 hrs away, feeling guilty that I was not there visiting. Especially after my grandma told me how sad and lonely he is. Heading there in just a few, but the prognosis is not good at all. Doctor says next one will likely put him in a coma. Grandma is also in the hospital and pretty miserable with an infection right now. She can't even go visit him because she is in so much pain.
We stayed at the farm last night to take care of Matt's dad and step mom's dog (a dog we can't stand, but that isn't the point), since they were called for a possible Liver, and had to be 2 hrs away. Matt's Step mom has battled liver cancer and stenosis of the liver. The liver was a match and surgery ensued. She is in ICU, liver is functioning. So far, so good!
Then, just a bit ago, traveling between, a very dear friend of mine, and fellow farm girl, let me know she and her entire family are in the ER on oxygen for carbon monoxide poisoning. For those of you who know Shannon, hudsoninaf, you know that is a large family to pray for! I am so scared for her and thankful they headed to the ER.
Thanks for praying with me, friends.

Oh Alicia, my heart is heavy after reading this. You and your family are in my thoughts, everyone looks so happy in that photo. One grandparent in the hospital is stressful enough, but two is a lot to deal with. I can't imagine how overwhelmed your entire family must feel right now. Remember to take some time just for you to replenish yourself. And thank you for the update on Shannon. That's so scary! Lots of thoughts and prayers for everyone right now.

Alicia, I am so sorry to hear of all this. I'm sorry you are going through a stressful patch. I hope all in your family can recover soon and be able to go home. Thank you for letting us know about Shannon. What a scary thing for the whole family. I hope the oxygen is helping and everyone will be alright. I will be keeping everyone in my thoughts.

Alicia, I will keep all of you in my prayers. I'm so sorry about all of this... Grandmas and Grandpas are some of the most wonderful gifts in the world! My heart is just aching for you, and for them... for ALL of you. This must be so hard on your Grandmother, especially. I can't even imagine. God love, bless, protect, heal and carry your entire family through this. Big hugs to you, sister.
And thank you for letting us know about Shannon! Thank GOD they got out before it got much worse! That poor, dear sister of ours! They have been through more than enough!
Please keep us posted. You are surely in our hearts, thoughts and prayers.
Hugs -

Thanks friends. It was hard seeing Grandpa, especially this morning. I am planning to go down there again (it is 45 min away) on Sunday, but I know there is a chance it may not come. I have faith that or God is a just and loving God. I don't want him to suffer, but it is hard to say goodbye. Last Christmas, I had a feeling it may be our last with them both. It was a really rough year, its been rough for a lot longer for Grandma. When I lost Levi in 2007, I just knew I could never be that full of sadness at a funeral ever again, especially if that person lived a full life, preferably free of suffering. Yet, I have always been particularly close to this Grandmother, she was like a second mother to me. And I spent MANY days at their house growing up. It will be harder than I would have thought 9 years ago, I can already tell. Seeing Grandpa cry because he couldn't get his words out, because he was overjoyed at the love and prayers, or because he asked me to tell Grandma he loved her (They got married on my Grandmother's 16th bday <3), was so disheartening. No one expected him to go downhill so suddenly. I just hope i can cope.

I am thinking about you, whether it's with my mind or my heart. Sometimes we just need to know that people care. If this is one of those times, I'm one of those people!
Sending you hugs, prayers, and strength!
