We have caught this virus going around. I would appreciate prayers for my dad (he's 91), myself and JT. I seem to the worst at present. Dad can't seem to shake the lingering cough.

Prayers for a quick recovery for all. I have it too. Been taking elderberry extract for cough, it helps.

Denise, just today I did this. I put Vicks in a cup of boiling water and just held it by my nose and enjoyed the vapors. Keep your eyes closed. I had a flu swab and it came back negative. Therefore not a virus . The only way to make sure if it's viral. I'm on an antibiotic now and I feel better. Be careful with Dad. At his age it can turn bad quickly. Prayers for you both.

Denise, keeping you and your Dad in my thoughts for healing and a speedy recovery. It might be time for a trip to the doctor to rule out the need for an antibiotic? Even when you have a virus to begin with, as it proceeds, it can often turn into a secondary bacterial infection that needs an antibiotic to clear it up. This might be especially true for your Dad whose immune system is not as robust due to his age.

Thank you for your continued prayer. I am doing better and I believe dad is too. JT is still congested and miserable. Hoping we'll be on the other side of it soon, all of us. Trying to keep our distance from my son. He just had a tooth extraction so don't want him getting anything, though he is on antibiotics. So that helps really.
