Yes, "WOW", I wish I could take credit for those beautiful quilt blocks, Shannon. Looks like Denise is the artist! Great job, Denise!

Hi Everyone
I finished decorated my denim tote bag. I bought the bag a while ago but it looked so plain. I did have an old belt on it for a while. Since I learned to tatt I made a piece for the belt and tacked it on. I found a guitar pick shaped wooden button and stiches it on for the buckle. I have some decorative patches that I may add at a later day.

Denise - I love the blocks. You are really playing catch-up quickly. That will make a nice quilt or whatever you are going to use the squares for.

So Denise, how many months do these blocks cover? I am not certain whether to give a smiley face for each block or for the month that the blocks were made for. What does everyone think? I would like a suggestion.

Nancy, I have added you to the list of UFO Finishers and given you a smiley face. Try to post a picture if you can.

Krista - Have you finished that UFO list yet? I will give you a smiley face for it because it is, after all, a UFO.

Marie - those were 3 months of blocks. I think maybe each month would be a smiley face - so 3 faces. LOL!

I'm still working on 5 projects - many are smaller than "cleaning up my sewing room" but they are still UFOs. LOL!

Thank you for starting a new thread for 2017! I knew that there was no way that I'd get all of my UFO's finished last year. I have been working on my list and and dividing it into short term and long term projects. Here is my first finished UFO for 2017....I finished embroidering the snowman blocks and put this together. I usually put out snowman decorations for January....my husband has been joking that maybe I should take them down since we've gotten 4 feet of snow since December!

I've been scrolling through the new thread and getting caught up on what you girls have been doing in the last couple of weeks!!! You are all so talented! Beautiful work, everyone! I think we should all be able to keep each other motivated this year! My big problem is the THRILL of starting a NEW project....I need to finish 3 or 4 projects before I think of starting anything new....

Debbie, I have added you to our list of UFO Finishers and given you an emoticon for your first finished UFO. I just love the embroidery.

Everyone will have a plan to motivate themselves to finish. I will not enter any more swaps until I get all the old ones done and sent out. I am also not starting anything new unless it is a UFO that has been planned and not executed. Sacrifices must be made.

This really is not a craft project but a long over due project. I am organizing my recipes getting them on cards so someone else can understand and putting them in a photo box. Thought my daughter would like them later.

Ruthie, let us know when they are all organized and in a box. If you've been intending to get something done for a long time, it IS a UFO.

Thank you for adding me, Marie...and thank you everyone for your nice compliments. Ruthie, don't you just love Taste of Home recipes? I've been collecting them for a long time and some of my favorite recipes have come from that magazine.

Great quilt, Debbie K. Snowmen are nice January accents.

I finished 2 more of my UFOs that were cut out in December - 2 dish drainer quilts using MJFs pattern.

One is for a farmgirl friend and the other is for another friend. The one for my MJF friend is a Kelloggs vintage print and the other is a Route 66 print for my friend's motorhome. I am making 2 more of these in the same patterns for me! The Route 66 will go in our motorhome and the Kelloggs is for my kitchen. I need to finish the other 2 because we may take the motorhome out on a short trip this weekend for a test run and I also hope to get the binding on my Route 66 Quilt (another UFO that was started in 2003 and was long-arm quilted before Christmas) tomorrow so it can go with us this weekend.

Farmgirl hugs,

Ruthie - Would you consider your latest finishes to be equaled to 6, 4 or 2 emoticons?

Nancy - Love the bag! You really did make it look special.

Linda - Nice dish drainer quilts.

I'd say 2 as I am still working on the recipes. I do need to get those by the end of March.
