Hi everyone. Got my fabric cut and stuffed into the envelopes. Just got to address them and head to the P.O. tomorrow. First time I ever used a self healing board, template and rotary cutter. Very cool. Now I need a cutting table because getting up from the floor was the hardest part. Ouch!

I cannot get up from the floor very gracefully, so I cut on the dining table. Rotary cutters and mats are pretty cool. I just bought my first square, so I can even up my quilt squares...hopefully.

I know what you mean, girls! I can't do the floor anymore either. DH bought me one of those long folding tables when he saw me trying to cut off selvages, and squares for these swaps. I don't know what I would do without the rotary cutters, cutting mats and special rulers. How did our grandmas do it! In fact, I am taking down the ironing board and setting up the cutting table today.

I'm with you girls, once I'm on the floor I'm down for the count. I do my cutting on a self mending mat on my dining room table. I'm getting an old table to put in my sewing room so I can just do it all in one room, but till then it's the dining room. I have not yet received my fabric but have the list (thank you Linda and Jana) and will have my envelopes addressed and ready to go when it arrives so I can get to it.

Hi everyone. Heading to the P.O. in my arc. It is raining Wolves and cougars out here. Haven't seen this much rain in So.Cal in ages.
My dining room table is a converted round coffee table. Hubby is quite the carpenter. We have a small house so everything is to scale. I don't have any space really to put out a table. Next time though, Hubby may have to give up some of his man cave, only temporarily. The dude does want me to upgrade my sewing machine. Just love him!

I received my first set of squares! I agree it wasn't easy finding music theme fabric at the store. I was lucky I found two and when I went back a few days later they were gone. I did try to look online but all I found was flannel.
This quilt will be that much more special.

Thank all of you for the sweet cards and little gifts, it means so much too me and I miss all of you.
As I am still not myself health wise my participation on the farm is minimal, but I do try to check in every now and again.
Update on my health issues, I have a Serious Brain Disorder which is the more serious of them! I have had many tests (Some not so fun) to rule things out, and I have more tests scheduled. I have some Amnesia and Memory loss due to the Brain Disorder so that is very frustrating, but I will get through it and try to stay strong. Without family and friends support I am not sure I could get through it all, all have made it so much easier for me and my family.
Farmgirls are the best, full of so much love, care and concern and I appreciate each and every one for all of your support and prayers.

Today my music squares arrived from Darlene Riboldi and Cristy Marxsen. They are so neat and different. I have six now...each a different print. Thanks ladies I am loving the .musical theme.

I came home from a weekend in our motorhome to find squares from Cristy, Darlene, and Marilyn. I also received the fabric for Joyce's squares. I cut both Joyce's and my squares and will send off on Tuesday - probably from Albuquerque, since we are headed there and then on to Phoenix for a 10-12 day trip. LOL! This trip will be by car, though. SO - I have a total of 5 sets (10 blocks), since I have mine and Joyce's. LOL!
