I listened to the audio CD of that book a couple of years ago. It was one of the best audios I can remember listening to. Such a powerful story.

I just finished A Man Called Ove, which was really good though it took me a little while to get into it. Am now reading The Truth According to US, by Annie Barrows. It's excellent! Grabbed me from the first page.

I wrapped up the Mitford series and impatiently waiting for the new book that is coming out this fall. Right now I'm reading Patrick Taylor's series about the Irish Country Doctor. This series takes place in northern Ireland in the early to mid-sixities. I'm really happy I stumbled onto these books.

Happy reading everyone!

I want to read Invention of Wings. I liked her other books. I also just finished up the Mitford series. A person really has to read all of the books to get the story line to be complete. I really enjoyed them. I just read The Richest Man in Babylon, The Longest Ride, Where Angels Go by Debbie Macomber, and Grey Mountain by John Grisham. I am on a reading streak and like all sorts of authors. Love, love, love books.

I just finished the book "The sunflower girl" by Rosanna Chiofalo.
This book in my opinion was absolutely wonderful. There were several close main character's and she pulled their past history(1943)and present(1970) lives together beautifully. Rosanna had so many different emotions and depth to the character's and story line that it had me turning the pages until the very end. I would recommend this book to anyone!

Caleb's Crossing. Its set in the 1600's on Martha's Vineyard. Puritans and Indians inhabit the island. Quite interesting!

The Guernsey Literary and Potatoe Peel Society! Just started, in a few chapters, and already mesmerized by it... a series of letters written back and forth between the characters, just after WWII when Germany still occupied the area. Can't wait to finish it.

I am reading a book that was my Dad's.
The Korean War - An Oral History - Pusan to Chosin by Donald Knox
My Dad was a member of the First Marine Division and was in the last group to make it out of the Chosin Reservoir. Dad was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. He told us that he was never so cold in all of his life as he was at Chosin. . .so I know for a fact that it was REALLY cold there.
The book is very interesting as it is a first person historical account of the trials and horrors of the War. The Battle of the Chosin Reservoir was one of the most decisive battles in Marine Corps history. My Dad was decorated for his bravery there, and other Marines have told me that just surviving that makes my Dad as Bad A$$! I'm just glad that he survived, married my Mom, and was a great Dad to the eight of us!
