Welcome back Debbie! Good luck with working on your merit badges. I think the weather badge is perfect. Texas really has had some crazy weather. Keep us posted.

Thank you Krista, we really have had some crazy weather and now 9days of predicted rain! Needless to says it is slushy muddy here! Don’t dare attempt to drive out my front driveway! Blessed to have a back way in and out. Weather high tomorrow is 78 :o

How wonderful Debbie! What do you think so far? I have been interested in calligraphy, but I haven't tried it yet.

It takes some practice and I have lots more practice to do. Lol! I still plan to compete the Expert level so I will be working on that soon! I want to read through the books once more that I checked out. There are so many things to do with Calligraphy!

The Expert Level involves completing a project with a saying, phrase, or verse. I plan to use one of my favorite verses. I hope to post a photo when I get it completed.

Deb, it does seem like it takes quite a bit of practice. I would love to see your completed project when you finish it! Also, how many badges have you completed so far? It seems like you are on a roll!

Suzan, are you working on the Calligraphy Badge as well?

Working on my Bibliophile Badges.
This is my current TBR pile. There are many other books I want to read, but can only work on these right now. We'll see what the future brings, especially in the winter months!

Hmm I keep thinking about the Bibliophile badge BUT I read on a kindle so all my TBRs are on there as well - which means no photograph :(

Hilary, could you maybe do a screenshot? I don't have a kindle so I'm not sure how they work.

Hillary,
Perhaps you could send an email to Cydnie at the farm and ask her what she thought would work. Her email is cydnie@maryjanesfarm.org
She's the "merit badge" person there.

Hello everyone!
We just sent out an e-mail to our Sisterhood members about a change to our Bread Making Merit Badge. Be sure to check your e-mail for these important changes. The change only involves the Expert Level requirements to reflect MaryJane's updated sourdough techniques found in her new Wild Bread book (If you haven't seen her new book yet, pick up a copy here.)

If you don't receive an e-mail, you can find the Merit Badge changes here.

Happy bread baking!

Hilary, Cydnie and I discussed your question and we both agreed, YES! to a screen shot. Cydnie will be in touch via email if she hasn't already.

I loaded a book onto my Kindle yesterday, Exit West by Mohsin Hamid. My Kindle was a gift from my husband.

Oooh and I just thought - before the end of 2017 I went through my Kindle and wrote out on slips of paper every TBR book (at the time) and put them in a lock and lock tub for a TBR lucky dip!

It's starting to sound like I need to look into a Kindle!

Hilary, did you write all 700 of them down?

Nope about 500 of them though! Some of the TBR I haven't got yet so they are more on the "oooh want that when I can get it" list really :D
