Hi Krista. I have since earned 5 beginner level (green energy, recycling, putting away for winter, music, and collect it) and 1 intermediate level for music since I began (I believe that date to be 7/7/17); however, I'm about ready to apply for 3 or 4 more. It's just tough with gardening and canning season to find the time to gather all my info. I may go overboard on my documentation but that's the former teacher in me; and I actually enjoy it.

How about you? How many have you earned? Are they going well for you?

Katie, that is awesome! You really are on roll. All your information is lovely and I don't feel you go overboard at all. I actually just finished the Let's Get Physical Beginner Level Badge on Monday and I'm working on the Intermediate level now. I still need to apply for the badge though. As of right now I only have 3. The other two are the Beginner and Intermediate Levels of crochet. Those were such fun badges to work on. I'm moving slowly but surely!

Ooo, Krista, I wish I knew how to crochet! It's on the top of my list of things to learn this winter. They'll come. Like I said, right now I've had to take a break so it may be awhile till I can get another after I apply for the few I've already done the work for. Some require more work than others, as well. Keep on chuggin'

You will love crocheting! I have really enjoyed learning and watching my crochet abilities change over time. There are so many others I am interested in doing as well. Calligraphy is one of the biggest ones I want to try and learn.

Crochet and knitting (with knitting needles) are my greatest weakness. Never was able to learn them growing up.

There's so much going on here I have zero time for merit badges!
I've been teaching a 9 year old how to sew, keeping up the garden, and canning (corn, green beans, tomatoes, and peaches).
We also had the fair here, so I had to enter some of my needle/ wood work.

I thought I'd get a break this weekend, and submit some merit badges, but nope. I hurt my back and got sick. So canning will be postponed, but atleast I got all of the onions picked and curing beforehand.

Ooo, take care of that back. This is always the busiest time of the year, I think. Please take care of yourself!

Hi, Krista, yes, I plan to get back into it when gardening and canning season has come to a close. Just too busy right now.

How are you coming along? I suppose you're quite bust too with your own things!

Life really has been super busy! But I have been slowly working on my Advanced Merit Badge for Crochet. I would love to have it completed by the end of the year, so fingers crossed I can.

I agree Hilary! And it seems like it's flown by. I'm struggling to wrap my mind around the fact it's almost October.

I am now half way done with my Advanced Merit Badge for Crochet! I finally finished my woodland blanket. I needed to spend 50 hours on a project and mine took me 76. Now all I need to do is teach 5 people how to crochet.

I have decided to earn the Blogging Merit Badge. I have created my blog at Word Press https://mjfarmgirls.wordpress.com It documents my journey of earning Mary Jane's Farm merit badges and is set up to document other people as well. At this point it is viewable by invitation only. If you would like to see it then give me your email and I will send you an invite.
