I was wearing a tank top (way to early for warm/hot weather), yesterday a thin t-shirt, have not had a fire in 2 1/2 weeks or more, and today its sweatshirt over long sleeved t-shirt, warm leggings and boots...the only good thing is its supposed to rain today and tomorrow (keeping fingers and toes crossed), I only want spring so I can start planting, and its usualy not safe to do so until mid May, lol...

Tina, up until last Sunday we were having warmer than usual weather, the ground was brown and dry. I and other folks had started spring yard work such as cleaning out gardens and flowerbeds, etc. This week we've gotten over 2 feet of snow (at our house, more in other nearby locations) which is very desperately needed! It's been snowing most of the day today and has put down quite a bit. I told my daughter this morning (she lives in Phoenix) that I guess finishing my flowerbed cleaning would have to wait! Right now there's probably a foot of snow on it. The snow we've gotten has been heavy and wet and on the days it wasn't snowing it melted a lot of it rather quickly, which is typical of the snow we get this time of year!
My lilac bush has buds on it, my daylilies are putting up green shoots and the fruit trees in front of the house are starting to bud . . . way too early for all of this!

Spring is such a tease with its flip-floppin' between hot and cold!

CeeJay, I hope your fruit tree buds don't get nipped by frost! Can they recover, if they do?

Penny,
More often than not the fruit trees get knocked out by frost. Our weather has been so funky the past few years and the fruit crop is so iffy . . . and disappointing. We always hope!
