How about a special commemorative apron pattern we could all wear on that day?

How about our clothespin apron as shown in the current issue of MJF (Feb/March 2015)? It folds up into a square to hold a new box of clothespins for gifting with the idea being to give it to someone who's new to the farmgirl way of life. Plus I love wearing mine because it holds so many things!

Here's the pattern:

Sounds great to me Mary Jane, I'd love it. I'll make it with your moo cow fabric! How fun.

My clothespin apron , made from the pattern shown in the magazine, is at the ready for the May Jubilee! Whoop! This is an easy pattern and so many ways to use it. Mine is currently full of clothespins for laundry days. I liked the idea MaryJane suggested for using it to garden or do chores. There are so many nice deep pockets .

Bonnie, Moo Cow fabric would be fantastic as would the glamper fabric for all those adorable canned ham owners. Actually, any of MaryJanes Fabrics would be pretty. I love the bee themed ones as well.

Okay, girls - I just printed out the pattern, and I'm going to have to find some fabric at the MJF online store, then I'll pull out my sewing machine, watch a few how-to's on YouTube and give it a whirl! I'm actually really excited to think that my first sewing project since 7th grade is going to be my Jubilee Apron! Eeee! SO great! I can hardly wait to get started!

Thanks, MaryJane!

Hugs -

I have a busted knee and am 'supposed' to be staying off of it. So, my motivation to stay put is going to be making this apron. So cute! First, one for me, then my daughters and then some to give away. That should keep me inside and off my tractor.

Love the "official" apron . . . hopefully I can get one made. I probably would gift to someone as part of my celebration.

Ok, I have a confession to make, I'm scared to death of my sewing machine..but I was so inspired to participate in the Farmgirl Jubilee I put my mind to it and after I snapped a sewing machine needle and then bounced my iron on the tile floor chipping it's nose, I had a finished apron! Yowzers!

My little snafus were well worth it and I just love my new apron. I used it this weekend while seed planting and I felt so organized. I had a pocket for everything! I may even try to make a few as gifts, if I can accomplish that without bloodshed... I see why we have badges we can earn (do we have a snafu badge?), Farmgirl life is hard work and can be dangerous, lol!

I plan to use this as a personal joy project this year. Kinda like "tie one on" day. I'll use MaryJane's fabrics and pattern (just because I love them). Maybe just make them whenever I feel like it and know someone might like one.
