Hay there,

Attention all Poor House Farmgirls: The Virtual Henhouse. I just wanted to let all of our virtual members know to finish up those binders!!!! Lets post a photo or description of them by January 25th. That should give us all enough time to complete them. Make them pretty....make them useful..... Make them a "Go To" item on your shelf or desk. Add sections that inspire you along with the sections that keep you organized.

I can't wait to see how everyone finishes this January Project !!!

Hugs and prayers, Daizy #1093

I started mine, but I do need to "pretty it up" a bit. I will work on it, and get a picture up when I'm done :)

A month late, but I'm done finally! Here's my binder....

I had a binder before working on this one, but it was much too small. I made sure I got one big enough to add to. :)

The first task I completed after I joined the sisterhood was my binder. Not as inventive as I wanted but I was eager to get going on badges so I saved some energy and bought a pretty notebook with 3 spiral notebooks of the same design. I used scrapbook paper for the dividers and a few page protectors for future badge certificates. I use the spiral (I bought extra for future use) to log in my sisterhood notes and research. I use the binder and notebook daily. I love being organized!

Shannon, I'm not sure, but it might be under the Farmgirl Barter section. There's a thread there labeled Poor House Farmgirls, and I seem to recall it being there. It was mentioned a couple places I think.

I have been working diligently on my binder this afternoon! I am not sure how I want to decorate my dividers though.... Erin may I ask where you found your wonderful pictures? They fit the themes perfectly! I have made a divider for contacts, so I can try to keep a list of different groups together.... For example, I was part of the Quilter's Swap, so I will print all those names and addresses, as well as all the ones for the penpal group :). I also have one for books I want to read pertaining to the Farmgirl lifestyle, as well as one for tips and tricks I learn from this wonderful forum. Then I have one for the badge checklist, and then dividers for each of the groups of badges. I think it was twelve dividers in all. Like I said, though, I need to go back and decorate the dividers, I am just not sure how I want to go about it!

Shannon, I just copied all the pictures from pinterest. I saved them into a word doc and printed them. I think I searched retro ads, vintage ads, something like that. :)

Hi y'all,
I just found this thread for our chapter and the link on our chapter chatter thread for the binders. My boys just finished their penmanship curriculum about a week ago, so I'm going to reuse my younger son's lime green binder to make mine. Planning to work on my binder next rainy day we have... supposed to be this weekend, but then I thought it was going to rain last night and we good just a couple drops. (To that effect, I rushed to get some lettuce, onions, garlic, carrots and bush beans planted last night after getting home from the kid's dentist appointment. Going to have to water tonight.)

Thanks, Erin! You are right. I did end up sending Daizy an em. Then I read the same info that Shannon read.
I'll give Daizy some time...Heaven knows many of us can relate to her kind of troubles.
I think I will start a binder though. Sounds like fun!
