Hi Starletta, I'm fairly new and kind of exploring things, and I just discovered this. What a fabulous idea! I've wanted to start working on my first merit badge, but needed a little kick start, and you gave it to me. Would it be possible for me to borrow "Montrose: Life In a Garden"? Please let me know what I need to do, and thanks for taking on this big job! Hugs!

Have been away from Mary Jane's Farm for a bit, while we were moving to our farmhouse in TN. I was exploring the Farmgirl Connection re: new merit badges and was excited to learn about the Farm Library. What a great idea! I have not seen any new posts since mid 2015, so hope this project is still going on. If so I would like to borrow Saving Stuff: How to Care for and Preserve Your Collectibles, Heirlooms, and Other Prized Possessions by Don Williams. Please let me know what I need to do to participate in the lending library.

I may have made a mistake starting a new topic instead of replying here. Sorry if I am duplicating a post.

Just when you thought it couldn't get much better... it does! I have been burning midnight oil working on stitching projects and am anxiously awaiting my mail art partners info. Made a trip to a couple of thrift stores recently and hit the jackpot with some vintage books. Can't wait to make them into something that we can display and enjoy. Since I am trying to kick my projects into high gear, I thought why not earn some merit badges in the process?! So I've been haunting the local library and scouring the shelves at my favorite nerdy hangouts. So excited to report that I've begun, "The Soul of a Horse" by Joe Camp even though I haven't finished "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd. I have a pile of books here by the bed ready to lose myself in. Unfortunately, I can't donate these as most of them are not mine. However, "The Secret Life of Bees" is mine and I would be happy to donate as soon as I finish it. I also have a ton of other books similar to the subjects listed here that I'd love to share. Many of them are in storage but I will dig them out in the near future because it would do my heart good to share with you gals. Maybe I'm just a little over enthusiastic but I am working on about ten badges at once I think!! Anyhow, I'd love to borrow "The Book of Awesome" if its available. I've already started my Gratitude Journal and find myself thinking about what blessing to write about next. Seems that once you start counting them, the blessings are glaringly obvious and very plentiful. Please pass me the address where I should send the books I'd like to contribute. ~~Happy trails!~~ SouthForty (Doris)

Maryjane or Brian - can you e-mai me an address that I can mail the books to? (ugh I just ended that sentence with a preposition - sorry!) I am collecting the ones I have read that I will not be reading again. The Book of Awesome, Beef The untold Story, and The Montrose Garden will be coming, with a couple others, I think. Thanks :)

Soooo good! If you haven't read this one yet, you should! Working on my Beginner Badge ~ reading it to my mother which helps me earn another badge. She is ailing and has memory problems but she had a horse as a young girl, and that memory is STRONG!

Thanks so much for your help, with joining the Hen house. I changed my Password and that sorted the problem.

Was wondering if you got my address OK for borrowing : How to Care for and Preserve Your Collectibles, Heirlooms, and Other Prized Possessions by Don Williams. If not please let me know.

Thanks Joan
