Hey Farm Girls,

Do you sell online? If so, where? What kind of business(s) do you have? I will be donating to foster families and foster kids. If you would like to donate your handmade products to this worthy cause, please contact me.

The first event is in Sept. a fishing tournament with 50 families. The second is in November, their Annual Adoption Day event.

I sell on Etsy. I have a hollow book shop, candle shop, vintage shop and mixed media art shop.

I'm looking for a farm girl that has her own printing business to put together a farm girl newspaper for me. Contact me if you would like to connect with me.

just a suggestion. you could do an online newspaper and it could be paperless that way. or you could make a newsletter on any of the websites that have templates for that and it could be done on the computer too. My daughter is a foster mom so I know how important this work is. She is adopting 2 of her foster children right now. So, good for you to do this work.

Hi there!

I have an Etsy shop!! I make -- all sorts of things! The handmade things I am most passionate about are beaded hairpins (dragonflies, I also make some simpler, more elegant ones as well). I make some jewelry as well, though I'm not sure how that would suit foster children if it is a gift for them. I crochet. Lately my crochet focus has been on cowls / scarves, and I have a pattern that works up VERY quickly. I have patterns for amigurumi toys, but don't do them often -- I got a little ticked off at the last ones.

Would the donations be gifts for the children? Or a type of thing to sell in order to provide for / assist the children.

I'll be honest, I don't know that I can do much, but I sincerely want to find a way to "give back"... and pay forward some kindnesses shown me. If we can discuss the details a bit, I think this may be just up my alley if you think you can use the products I sell.

Feel free to email me.

I also am a blogger who happens to AH-DORE writing. I don't know much about newsletters, but check out my blogs (links in siggy) and if you like what you see, I'd be honored to be considered. And hey, if all else fails, I hope you'll at least provide me with some web-based details on your event. I would LOVE to share the info on my blogs.

I am getting a wish list and a needs list from the agency I am working with.

The first thing on the list is DIY Kits for all ages groups. If you make a craft kit for children over 13 years of age be sure to put instructions. The children need fun activities to do and they love making things themselves.

Jewelry kits, card making kits, scrapbook kits, and any easy and fun kits would be great.

They only want new items and they can be handmade. Mainly items that they can take from place to place with them. So, backpacks, journals, soap any personal type items are what they are looking for.

I'm collecting for the November adoption day event. I decided to pass on the Sept. fishing event.

I've met the woman and she was very quiet and not very talkative. I did an event last month and met her in person. Was not what I expected from her at all. I'm going to work with the local foster home so that I can go in person and take a tour and met the children myself!
