For Monday:

The whole wonderful warm weekend spent with my husband and little girl, cleaning up the outside yard, burning brush, tending plantings, picking violets and making jelly and violet vinegar.

For a great opportunity at our new church--a food mission in one of the poorest neighborhoods in the city, incidentally the same neighborhood that was once home to my husband's Great Grandparents and a large portion of the Irish in Cincinnati. Signed up to help out!

For some leads on good schools for Violet after preschool. Our little school district isn't that wonderful and we can't afford to move--a teacher in her Sunday School classroom told me about a number of schools she's been impressed with in our area that we can pay tuition to attend.

Happy Monday!

Today I'm blessed...

1.) To feel like I'm getting over this stomach virus.
2.) To be sitting here sipping tea/coffee with my sweetie in companionable quiet.
3.) To have the best sister in the world

Aww, thanks, Nini. I'm just happy to have something to help out on--I really WANT to be included and they said that the folks at the center love it when little ones come, too, so I'm going to bring Violet. It's a terribly hard-pressed area, but I know there will be some connections.

Teri,
What an adorable little pup! Many of our dogs over the years have been dropped off, rescued or from a humane society. With all the love they give its hard to imagine not having cared for them!

O, a trouble's a ton or a trouble's an ounce,
Or a trouble is what you make it!

But only--how did you take it?

Susan,
I know, this is how I got 2 of my (now) 5 dogs. And 7 of my 8 cats!
I just can't tell you how upset I get when people do this to an animal ...

Today I am happy for my neighbor, Jimmie, for helping us mow the grass.
I am happy for chocolate, it soothes my soul. LOL
I am happy to have five sweet and chatty cats.

For Tuesday, April 16.

1. Rain is on the way to make everything more green

2. Seeing my husband and Roger play music this evening at the Irish Pub where we met. Always a nice "touch base" for what ails me.

3. That my family is close. I don't have a lot of them, but they're right here, safe and sound.
