Today, I am thankful for:
Being awake at 7:58 am,
seeing the first snow fall since moving to the Texas Hill Country (no accumulation, but snow!),
and Zydeco music!!!!!

Today I'm thankful for...
...my 2 new peacocks that are a joy to watch walk around
...the birds that are visiting the feeders
...my 17 yr old cat, Snow, who is starting to slow down and show his age

Hey, Marly!! You mentioned Zydeco. OMG! That's what I listen to when I'm cleaning house. Man, it gets me moving. My fave is Wayne Toups, which is probably more Cajun than Zydeco. I saw him at local dance halls in New Iberia and Lafayette long before he was famous. I also like the new band, Feu Follett.

I'm thankful for cold, creamy ice cream on hot summer days,
Hot apple pie fresh from the oven on cold ones,
And salad sprinkled with balsamic vinegar the rest of the year! ;) LOL!

But seriously... I'm truly thankful for all three!

Hugs -

Quiet time to sew, sew, sew!!! (with an active 4 year old this doesn't happen often :-) )

Our quiet country cottage

My sweet hubby who loves to feed us (he doesn't need much of an excuse to buy or make yummy treats for us! I'm definitely the day to day food person, but he is the party/special food occasion guy.)

Today I am thankful for:
Knowing Spring is two days away,
the small flowers I see beginning to show their colors,
and the sun shining even when 100% rain was predicted.

- God's never ceasing love and care for his children
- the children's excitement of spending time with their daddy over the weekend (he works long hours during the week)
