Hi Beverley,

Your machine will take any low shank presser feet. I have some on my website: http://www.thriftyfarmgirl.com/vintage-sewing-machine-attachments. (note: i adjust all shipping costs when orders are processed, so for small parts like presser feet, it saves several dollars on shipping).

As far as the cams, they are not available through Sears anymore, but you may be able to find them on ebay. Here are the part #'s(Sears' website did not have each part # named)...

straight stitch foot # 3333
gathering foot # 27679
foot #3330
foot #3342
foot #3343

general search for low shank presser feet on ebay:
I did a search for ('sears kenmore low shank presser feet'). Make sure they are low shank before ordering: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=sears+kenmore+straight+stitch+foot+%23+3333&_osacat=0&_from=R40&LH_PrefLoc=1&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xsears+kenmore+low+shank+presser+feet&_nkw=sears+kenmore+low+shank+presser+feet&_sacat=0

presser foot set on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/14-SEWING-MACHINE-ATTACHMENTS-presser-feet-FOOT-KENMORE-158-385-listed-/251560645675?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a922ed42b

I didn't find any disks/cams on ebay...but i would recommend you do a regular search on ebay (your best bet)...
just do a search for the following terms:

Sears Kenmore sewing machine model 158.17000
Sears Kenmore sewing machine model 1700
Sears Kenmore sewing machine model 1700 parts
Sears Kenmore sewing machine model 1700 cams

parts lists for future reference:

Hope this helps,
Connie

Beverley, a new search on ebay brought up these presser feet and cam sets. I do not know what model they are for, I recommend contacting the sellers first: because they are not listing the model machine that they go to:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sears-Kenmore-Sewing-Machine-Sets-of-Foot-Feeders-Tools-Cams-/231259345377?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35d82191e1

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sewing-Attachments-Cams-for-Sears-Kenmore-Sewing-Machine-Lots-in-a-box-/151328077223?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item233bdb35a7

for model 1756: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sears-Kenmore-Model-1756-Zig-Zag-Sewing-Machine-Cams-Instruction-Manual-more-/251526899700?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a902be7f4

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sears-Kenmore-Sewing-Machine-Attachment-Kit-Set-Cams-Feet-Bobbins-MORE-/251549580708?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3a9185fda4

model 1752: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ORIGINAL-SEARS-KENMORE-158-17520-SEWING-MACHINE-COMPLETE-BOX-SET-13-CAMS-26861-/390566936808?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5aef9a80e8

Note: it seems that model 1752 uses many of the same cams as the 1700 model. From the parts list here are the cam #'s that from the model 1752 that are the same as the 1700:

2273, 26844, 26847, 26848, 26849, 26850, 26851, 26852, 26853, 26861, 26862, 26863, 26864. The charts do not indicate the name of each cam. The sellers on ebay should give you the # that is on each cam so you can make sure you buy the right ones.

here are the charts for your reference:
model 1700: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/All-Products-Parts/Model-15817000/0582/1200000/00037364/00007?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=15817000

model 1752:

I have my grandmother's treadle. it has the word 'Queen" in gold on the machine itself...I was told it is made by White. I posted in the Barter thread that i was looking for drawers for my cabinet, My machine was supposedly made in the late 1800 early 1900s but I am not sure if this is true or not. Since I was told you are the "vintage machine guru" I was hoping you might know where I can get cabinet drawers. I need one but haven't had any luck matching perhaps I could find 4 that would fit. Do you have any info about my machine? I am new to the forum and am not sure how to post photos. ( I am not even sure how to navigate this forum very well) thank you gor your help/

Hi Judi, the time frame is correct. Sears sold sewing machines by different manufacturer's. Some by Whites, Davis, etc. A 'Queen' badged machine is very similar to a Whites. Since records are hard to find for most machines other than Singer, it would be hard getting an exact date. Is there any dating on the slide plates? As for the drawers, it will be hard matching them without a pic. I posted a 'how to post a pic' under your barter thread. I think ebay would be your best bet for any hopes of finding a drawer, unless someone here has some.

Hope this helps,
Connie

Thank you Connie. I did try Ebay, Craigs list, and Amazon with no luck....I will look for a date somewhere on the machine and try to get a picture of the drawer fronts....I am ok with replacing all 4 and I will keep the 3 I have and repurpose them..Judi

Judi I painted a couple of extra sewing drawers I had and added colored glass knobs to the bottom of them for feet. It looks cool.

Connie, do you have any use for these parts? Random parts from sewing machines I've had or seen. . . I have no use for them, just found them in a box when I was cleaning :) I really don't have any use for them, if you would like them you can have them!

Hi Connie :)

I was wondering if you could keep an eye out for attachments and cams for a Singer 358 Fashion Mate. I have had my machine since I was a kid, lent it out and never got the attachments back :(

Hi Sharon,

Here are some links:

some low shank attachments: http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/lookup.html?keywords=low+shank+attachments#/?keywords=low+shank+attachments

snap on presser foot set http://www.sewingpartsonline.com/snap-on-presser-feet-set-low-shank-11-piece.aspx
and a similar set, but cheaper http://www.ebay.com/itm/11pc-PRESSER-FOOT-SET-5011L-for-LOW-SHANK-SNAPMATIC-KENMORE-SINGER-BROTHER-ELNA-/221524128980?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3393ddf4d4

other links: http://sewingparts.co.uk/machines/singer-358.html

as for cams, i recommend doing a weekly search on ebay as that is the most likely place you'll find them. In the meantime I'll keep my eye out.

Connie,
I have a Singer 7444 and I want to do free motion stitching on it. I ordered a foot from an online source and I cannot make it fit on my machine. Here is a picture of it:

There isn't enough clearance to install it, and I'm guessing its not the right foot for my machine.
Is there a free-motion foot to fit my Singer?

Hi Nicole, the only hand cranks that are available are reproductions, originals are hard to find. There will be some Chinese writing on it, but you could always paint over it with black paint: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hand-Crank-for-Singer-Spoked-Wheel-Treadle-Sewing-Machines-15-127-128-66-99-/381843063932?hash=item58e79ec47c:g:zEAAAOSwJQdW80Zh

Other than that, my only other recommendation is to watch ebay for an original, but they are few and far between.
