| I take glycerine soap and run it under my fingernails and toe nails (i wear sandals in my garden a lot). The soap helps keep the dirt out! I've told a lot of gardening friends and everyone thinks its helpful. |

Thanks for the tip. I will for sure use it tomorrow as I just spent a good 20 minutes scrubbing under my nails after digging in the garden. I can't seem to function in gloves.

have to try that. Even though I wear gloves I still manage to get dirt under my nails.

I have tried this before and although it does work I just couldn't stand the soap up under my finger nails.

I too wear gloves but my fingernails still end up getting pretty bad underneath the nails. I'll have to try this.
