Happy birthday Julie, a few days early. I'm jealous. I wish I could stop my job too, and farm full time. That's a lot harder than my job, but when it's what you want to do, it doesn't seem like work does it?? Celebrate on your big day!!

I'd rather live my life with a "full plate" than an empty one. Life is not a rehearsal... eat up!

My birthday is coming up next week: May 9th. All next week, I'll be out in the field collecting water samples and I won't be back until Friday. Probably be way too tired to do any celebrating... -Cat

50 was a great birthday for me! I felt very liberated and free! However, I'll be 54 this month and am not quite so fond of that number!

Thanks Kate and everyone at the farm for the sweet birthday wishes!

Well first of all a very Happy Birthday to all of the May Birthday Girls from an April birthday girl. May is such a beautiful month like April for flowers and trees and the birds, oh my the birds. We have about 15 feeders in our back yard which borders on an overgrown pasture with lots of trees and plants. If things go right we will be adding about 14 acres of that pasture to the back of the 4 acres we have with our home and we hope to keep it as a wildlife sanctuary and bring in as many birds as possible with feeders and plantings. We hope to put in a walking trail with some "old" farm machinery at points where we can have some benches and places to rest - I will need it. Today would have been our son, Rick's birthday. He was born in 1958 but he was killed in a car accident when he was 30. Sad day for us but he will always be with us in our memories. If you have any suggestions for simple ways to work on our dream property let us know. Take care everyone and I really enjoy reading the posts and all the wonderful information on this website. Small town living and loving it!!!

Hey Robin...just wanted to let you know that you and I share the same birthday...May 19. I've got a milestone myself this year (30) and I'll be thinking of you on yours.

That's so funny - my last name starts with a "Z" now that I'm married - I'm always last, too!!! Hopefully that'll be helping my patience.

Hi Alyssa, you like Moscow? The last couple of days, I've been searching the web for land out your way...........I feel like I am too old to make such a drastic move, but man, am I in a rut!! And the pictures I've seen from Idaho are breathtaking!!

Hi Cindy,
My birthday is September 8, 1953. I must be one of the oldest farmgirls on here but I sure don't feel old, most days anyway. I was born in Okinawa when my Mom went to live with my Dad for awhile when he was stationed there so I actually have a passport from when I was like 6 weeks old.
