In 2014 when I became a member of MJF I looked around the Farm and found Winnie's post and decided to make her my mentor. I still follow her lead as well as a few more FarmGirls on how to conduct myself on the Farm. Wonderful choice for our Oct FGOTM. Winnie loves the fall.

Oh my gosh!! I am very honored to be selected FGOTM for October!!!! October is my favorite month of the year because Fall usually starts arriving down here even in Florida and everyone knows Pumpkin Spice and all things Apple are in full gear at farm stands and grocery stores. Thank-you Judy for blessing me with this honor and Thank-you, every Farmgirl, for making my life richer from your friendships and talents!! This community has been an amazing source of support since I first picked up a MJF Magazine in December 2009. And I can’t forget my thanks and gratitude to our MaryJane for her years of hard work and inspiration that she freely shares with us. Every magazine and book is packed full of new ideas, fun things to make , delicious recipes to try, and just plain ole Farmgirl inspiration of ways to make-do , repurpose, live healthier, and enjoy the great outdoors.
I hope everyone here at MJF also has a beautiful October and opportunities to get out and enjoy the beauty and excitement that this season brings us after a long hot Summer!!
Pumpkin and Apple LOVE to all of you and let’s celebrate this month together!! I am starting today by pulling out my pumpkin and fall leaf apron I bought from Farmgirl , countrygrace, over 5 years ago. Gotta tie one on, as MaryJane says, to start this special month in style!! How about you? Anyone have a favorite fall apron? If you do, tie one on with me. Whoop!!

Special Farmgirl mail arrived for me Darlene thank-you for such a wonderful and fun box of goodies! Everything was neatly wrapped up and I had such fun opening it all!! There were spiced pecans, two kinds of tea bags(green tea and Apple cinnamon, this adorable little box of tissues, a very pretty jeweled box to keep jewelry in, yummy peppermint chocolate covered marshmallow, and this adorable little bird house all decorated up for Fall with pumpkins. It was all just so cute and fun!
Thank-you Darlene for such a wonderful box of goodies and notecard! I will enjoy everything you sent!!

Well, the website Chatroom is finally open today. Yay!! Saturday afternoon, Amazon left me a package on the front porch and it was from Sara!! She sent these adorable fall themed pillow covers and I just love them!! Two are now out on the porch furniture and two are inside on my futon.
Aren't these so cute?? Thank-you Sara for such a fun and wonderful gift! I will be using these every Fall for a long time, I hope!!

Our mail comes late, but last night there was this sweet package from Heather! She sent me two adorable die-cut Halloween pumpkins that I am going to put on my faux fireplace here int my "LogCabin". She also sent some Buckeye's from Ohio, both real ones from her tree and the candy ones which are peanut butter dipped in milk chocolate. They are similar to Reeses candy if you have never had them. From the photo, you can see the box of handmade candy is EMPTY!!! Yes, they were delicious and I have a certain Farmboy here that adores the peanut butter/chocolate candy. LOL!!! Thank-you Heather for such a sweet gift and I think I will keep the buckeyes until later and then peel them and roast them in the oven sometime .
Also, a beautiful card with such a kind and sweet message arrived from Judy, wildflower. Thank-you Judy!!

Our mail comes close to 7pm everyday and yesterday's delivery had some special Farmgirl Mail to enjoy!! it was al lot of fun opening up cards and little packages full of surprises.
Nancy Jo sent me a lovely card and sweet note, plus several adorable tags that make beautiful gift tags for packages . And, she sent me two pressed Maple leaves from her yard that show the beautiful colors. I bet those trees were gloriously brilliant in your yard this year and I love getting a few to enjoy as well. Thank- you!!
Another package came from Judy, wildflower17, with a pretty card and caring note, these really adorable pumpkin/red truck socks, and a pocket 2022-2023 calendar with a gardening theme. It has all sorts of gardening information on top of the regular monthly calendar days. There is also a darling kitchen magnet too. Thank-you Judy for such a fun surprise !! I can't wait to wear those socks soon!!
Then, the mailbox had another package and this one came from Grace, Katmom. Inside is this beautiful square tablecloth that has machine embroidered birds with birdhouses and flowers. It is just as cute as it can be! Grace, did you make this on your new embroidery machine?? She also included a pretty kitchen towel and crocheted dishcloth. I love the old truck theme that has become so popular lately too. Thank-you Grace for these fun and beautiful treasures!!
A big Farmgirl Hug to all of you for helping to make my month as FGOTM more special. All of you make my life better and more fun!!
