This morning, I received a wonderful gift from MaryJane and Meg!! How thoughtful, thank you both so much.
One small boo-boo. I am the MARCH 2013 FGOTM, not the April FGOTM. But, I still love the card. Thanks, again.
And- thank you for such a wonderful forum.

It’s time to choose the April 2013 FGOTM!
First, thank you Laurie for giving me the honor of being the March 2013 FGOTM, and the first Louisiana farmgirl to have been chosen. You will be a lifetime friend! Thanks to all of the farmgirls who posted their congratulations to me. And- thank you MaryJane and Meg for providing all of us the opportunity to have such a great forum and such wonderful friends. I’ve had a wonderful farmgirl month.
The most difficult part of this month is choosing just one farmgirl as the April 2013 FGOTM. It was such a hard decision.
The April 2013 FGOTM I have chosen continues to run a ranch after her husband passed away some eight years ago. She is also raising a grandson. During Thanksgiving and Christmas, she cooks meals for the homeless. For years, she and her husband worked with high risk children and young adults at their ranch. She loves animals and takes in stray animals of all kinds. There are approximately 100 barn cats on her ranch. She is my best friend. I believe, without a doubt, that she and I were friends in a previous life. We can finish each other’s sentences. And- she is the most opinionated woman I know, especially when it involves the care and safety of children and animals.
So, without further ado, let me introduce the April 2013 Farmgirl of the Month!

thank you Marly from the bottom of my heart and soul, you are my sister, mother, aunt and best friend, I really don't know what to say except thank you...
I will do my best to honor this honor and I hope that I will be able to pick the May FGOTM with as much wisdom as all the girls before me...

Congratulations Tina! I am just getting to log onto to the farm now for the first time today, and was so excited to see who Marly chose for April FGOTM. I knew she would make a wonderful choice, and I am so happy for you Tina!
