Grace - you are on the ball!!! I can't believe I got a package from you so soon! I'm sorry it took a few days to get on the computer - we've been busy baling straw. I love all the patriotic goodies! And the lavender made the whole things smell so nice. Do you grow your own? My wood stove is in the dining room so for the summer it gets covered and decorated. Right now it has a lace tablecloth and some red white and blue things. Your package was added to the collection for now. It looks so nice. Thank you so much!!!
The cows are helping me celebrate this month too! 2 new heifer calves so far this month.
The first baby girl has a cute little heart on her head :)
The second baby girl being watched over by her mama.

Awww, Heather, those babies are the cutest!!! I bet your wood stove looks very festive with your red/white/blue things and now FGOTM!! Such a cute idea to use the stove as a little space to enjoy a bit of summertime decorating as well.

Winnie - thank you so much for the sweet towel, washcloth, and soap to pamper myself with. As soon as it cools down I'd love to relax in the tub. It's just too hot to think about right now though. An ice bath sounds good though LOL!!! Those taffy candies were yummy too!!! Thanks so much!
April - what a cute cow card!! I love it. I'm going to see if I can find a frame around here for it. Thanks for helping me celebrate!!
Bonnie - you're right - those little ones have a way of putting a smile on your face no matter what is going on :) We have 2 more due any day now.

Heather, you are very welcome and I am glad you enjoyed a bit of Florida, salt water taffy. You all have been having really hot days and I don't blame you for wanting an ice bath either. Believe me, I understand and sympathize the issue of oppressive heat and humidity. Talk about miserable!! Ice baths sound preferable to anything warm too. Stay cool and drink lots of water and hopefully your area will cool back a bit and have more normal summer pattern!!

Grace - I may have to find some lavender plants!
Winnie - We actually finally got some much needed rain and a nicer temp. for the weekend. Only in the 80's!!! It's warming back up again, but I'll take what I can get while I can get it :) I don't know how you deal with this kind of weather every year!
Dianna - Thank you so much for the package that arrived today! The crosses, magnet, cow, and farm dish towel are fantastic, but I really LOVE the farm fabric!!! My mother in law was over today and thinks it'll make a great pillow. I was thinking more like an apron or using it for the farm quilt I want to make this winter. I wish I could take a picture to show everyone but my camera quit working yesterday :( Hopefully by the time I make something I'll have enough saved up for a new camera to show you what I made. Thank you again for nominating me for this months FGOTM. I'm having a wonderful month!!! Oh, and the moon pie was delicious ;)

Lol, that's so awesome Heather!! I'm so happy for you!! You are so very welcome! I adored that fabric and bought the last of it! I knew it was tough when I saw it! Thank you MaryJane for the book on safely removing pests from your yard and garden, the queen bee necklace, the certificate, and embroidered fabric(I'm thinking it'll make a wonderful apron pocket.) The card is super cute too - and yes, I can feel the love LOL!!!
Julie - thank you so much for the old fashioned cow postcards. I really like the purple cow one (purple is my favorite color). I would have never guessed it was an ad for apples of all things!

If my camera was working I'd share some pictures of our two latest calves. A super cute jersey heifer I named Magnolia and call Maggie. And a gigantic bull calf. I might see if my mother in law will let me borrow her camera.

Darlene - thank you so much for the sweet mug rug filled with tea and the adorable cat and cow buttons!! I've never been to the Pocono mountains, but the post card sure makes me wish I was there. It looks beautiful. Are you close? And thank you for the pickle recipes. I can't wait to try them out.

Thank you again Dianna for the blessing of being July FGOTM. And thank you to everyone for helping me to have a wonderful month. Your kind words and gifts mean more to me than I can say.
Each and everyone of you deserves to be FGOTM for the amazing women that you are. I am so lucky to have found such a wonderful group of women to call sisters!!! Since I can only choose one to be FGOTM for August I'm going to name Nini Betters (Ninibini). She isn't on here as often as she used to be due to life pulling her in other directions but she's touched my heart and I want to shower her with the farmgirl love you have all showered me with.
