I recently found a set of 4 TV trays for $3.00. They are much larger than my old Tupperware set I had for years (wider tray). I plan to repaint them and use them on the front porch and take camping.

I had some more donations for a local thrift store, as I'm still losing weight. I picked up 5 designer tops for $19.99! It is so much EASIER to find smaller clothing now, that's a relief. I got a Ralph Lauren flannel blouse, a Columbia Sportswear summer blouse, a denim jacket, a corduroy blouse, and a Coldwater Creek summer blouse, all like new. I really scored! I saved the couple that are a little too small, as they will fit in a month or two. It's fun to shop ahead, knowing I'm still shrinking, and it's a great way to plan ahead...

My daughter and I, while on our "tent glamping" trip this past week, went into Black Canyon City to a thrift and found ALL kinds of things. Some of which we needed for our gear box . . baskets, silverware, can opener, skillet and griddle, tea spoons (actual TEA spoons with small bowls and long handles), a pink "Princess" rug for my dog for camping . . :D) . . etc.
This is a pic of one of the cool baskets we found AND some antique canning jars . . Robin also got one of each of this size and one clear, all with the date 1908 on them.
This is only a wee bit of our treasures! AND . . . total of our cost?? Between the two of us and a BUNCH of treasures . . less than $30, including the antique canning jars.

I must amit its not the most frugal buy I've ever made, but I just bought this jar of vintage buttons for $26! Theres all sorts of super sweet buttons in there & I remember my mom having a many of these jars. Its an old Folgers instant coffee jars, my mom used to keep her pennies in about five of them.

Iam going to have to be carefull or Iam going to spend all afternoon playing with buttons & I swore to myself that I was going to do a full detail of the bathroom and finish 2 different sewing projects...Which both are on a deadline so I need to leave this buttons alone! BUT I WANT TO SORT THEM!!! :D

At a local thift store last night I bought 2 pairs of great jeans, some shorts, and a summer blouse. On eBay I got a (new without box) $85.00 pair of Dansko-like clogs for $20.00, some used cookbooks, and a very expensive like-new L.L. Bean parka (in the color I had always wanted) for 25% of the full retail. What a score!!!

I needed some new pants for work so I went to Kohl's and looked, but everything was either too long or the wrong color.I went to the petites section and found a pair on clearance for under $5.00. Bingo!

A few items today at a couple thrift stores, which included these beautiful (I think) bowls. The bowls were 50 cents for the one with flowers and 25 cents for the one with gold trim.

I just got a picture and dollies for 4.00. Can't wait to hang up the picture. I scored from a friend a bag of yarn. I'm making blanets for the prayer missionary box.

During our weekend getaway, we found many items.

Click on this post to see a few items I found:
http://pioneerwomanatheart.blogspot.com/2012/03/monday-madness.html

I'll be posting a picture of a cabinet I found at an antique store also (hopefully in a few days).

Poke around my blog for more recent "finds"

This cute little Coronado Sewing machine (from the 50s) has been sitting at the Salvation Army store for a long time. I've looked at it but thought they wanted too much for it considering the belt is the wrong size and the bobbin case is missing. It's in great condition and it does run and it is in a case in good condition.

I decided to ask them today if they'd take less money for it since it had been there a long time and the missing/wrong parts. She didn't hesitate to accept my offer . . $5.00!

Brought it home, checked it out, cleaned it up and have decided, for now it is just gonna sit and look cute in this "Apronista's" house.

I found two vintage gelatin molds a grapes on and a lobster one! Super score on the lobster one I had been looking for a lobster one for almost two years now! I also came across some old sewing supplies which had been on my wish list so now as I get time I can continue working on my projects! I also found a new clear class latte mug and some much needed plates! It was a score for me yesterday!

Thanks! This weekend I bought several items at Goodwill for the hot weather, almost all high end stuff, some with the new tags still on. I love some of the higher end brands like Eddie Bauer, LL Bean, etc. because they last forever!

I hit another goodwill store today and found a really cute sunflower, made of solid pine, for $1.99!

Also bought some more shorts (which I live in during the summer), and some cute denim overalls (I love those). I haven't had overalls for years, but like them in the cooler weather.

I found these nice, thick wooden spoons at out local grocery outlet. They are Paula Deen brand, I love them! A buck each!

I went to the local Eddie Bauer outlet yesterday. I found 2 great polo shirts for work and a fleece top for 75% off, good deals. I also got a fleece jacket, ditto 50% off. A lot of my work clothes that fit are pretty worn, and that's something I'm working on fixing over the summer. It's easier to buy a little new clothes at a time and not take such a big hit. I'm still losing weigth (good!) and closet is shrinking (not so good) for work clothes.

I love angels! I collect angels and I found these two at a local thrift. The one on top is made of a full circle table cloth with styro head and heart shaped wings with separate piece for her arms.

The other one is just as vintage looking as can be with lace, pearls, a lace purse, one-sided ponytail and looks tea-dyed. Her wings are wooden with "lace" painted on.

Cost? the TOTAL of $1.00 for both of them.
The are clean, and in excellent condition . . . a lovely addition to my "host" of angels.
