I got this text yesterday, and thought of this thread...cute.
" Have you ever wondered why bras are lettered A, B, C, D, DD, E, F, G, H and how the letters are actually used to define bra sizes?? A- Almost Boobs B- Barely Boobs C- Can't Complain D- Dang! DD- Double Dang!! E- Enormous F- FAKE G- Get a Reduction H- HELP ME, I've fallen & can't get up! A friend is like a good bra.... You girls are so funny. Loved reading the posts and ideas for uses of old bras. Neat idea on making your own fragrance spray too. My old bras are holding my old boobs too. lolol Remembering when I got my first bra and how ill fitting they were, but I was starting to "show", so that meant putting on the harness and enduring it.
Make my words soft and tender, for I may have to eat them. :) |

You girls make me laugh this was a great thread! I'm a new sister and I look forward to lots of fun.
I got an idea you know the 3 wire veggie hanges for the kitchen? what about gatehering graduating sizes 3-5 cover with hankies,floursack or vintage material..then use it for the cuteet fruit/veggie holder the kitchen has ever seen. could use for toiletries, sewing notions or stuffed animals.
oh hammocks for beanie babies!!!

if asked I have ideas ..
Ah whynot like a shoe organizer use it for smaller items several of them sewn up to a mane cloth. sorry it just came to me.

I wear my bras until there's nothing left of them hardly. Now if someone can give me an idea of what to do with the underwires, that might be a help! LOL

i got an idea use the wire for a clothespin bag!
problem solved or a mini trellis for those little Ivy plants
the two wires form a kind of heart shape. train the little vines
around it.

good thought. The underwires generally come out before the bra is worn out. Can't stand them.

patsy~ i know how you fill i started getting my Tattas in 1st grade, i wasnt a grlie grlie by any means an my mom told me have have to ware it, cause its part of being a grl.
wen my are broken down the alastic is shot in them an all the wires have been pulled out cause they desided they wanted to brake an poke me, . they get put in my workout draw for extra support under my sports bras.

I was scrolling through the topics and when I saw this one I almost fell off my chair laughing! So many ideas for old bras. I guess you could cut off the straps and lace and repurpose as well.

This is a great idea! I was getting ready to throw out a few bras. I'm going to reuse them now. I love the underwire idea for the fairy garden!!

If you have a bra that you love the look of but hate to were why not make a hot bag out of it.
Remove the under wire and the straps cut one side and fill with cheep uncooked white rice and re-sew the side.
Repeat with second cup and you have two. Then you just place in the microwave for one minite to heat. |

I love the idea for the hot bag. I have fibromyalgia and use heating pads and bags in the evening to relieve some of the pain.
I also have a friend that does belly dancing for fun with her mother (believe it or not)(they are both in great shape). She cuts off the back bands with the hook n eyes and the straps, and replaces them with sequence and decorative ribbon and decorates the dickens out of the cups. I have seen some of their outfits and they are unbelievable. They dance for parties (all above board ladies) and gives the $$ to cancer research. Her mom is a survivor of breast cancer going on 11 years
