Hello everyone! We just sent the next issue of our magazine off to the printer. This is the April/May issue, "Garden Secrets." In it, you'll find recipes for heirloom vegetables and grains (even homemade condiments) and for those "classic" dessert favs like whoopie pies and cream-filled cupcakes - all with organic ingredients! You'll also read about rooftop gardening and building soil fertility and learn the basics of weaving and paper making. We're excited and hope you are too! If you don't have a subscription to the magazine yet, here's the link http://www.maryjanesfarm.org/magazine.html - only $19.95 for 6 issues! Here's a preview of the cover:
If you do have a subscription, you should receive your magazine around March 11. (Those of you near postal hubs get faster delivery; rural delivery takes a little longer.) If you don't receive your magazine within about 10 days after this date, you can call the subscription department at 800-476-4611 to check on your delivery.

LOVE MaryJane's classic red cowgirl boots....wish I could find a pair....but I do have purple ones that I luv... Every gals closet should have at least 1 pr of cowgirl boots!...I have 5 pair...and that's not enough if ya ask me! lol! You can dance in 'em, you can prance in 'em, you can strut your stuff in 'em but my two favorite things to do is work my garden in 'em and walk my property in 'em.... shoot, I go shopping in 'em...

I can't wait!!! All this cold weather has me itching to do something. It's been cold and wet - so I can't really do anything. I need to prune and pull and cut back and can't even get into the garden to do that.
By the way, how do you keep your socks from slipping down in your cowgirl boots? I have a pair (brown George Strait) and my socks always seem to slip down so I got an extra long pair and fold them down over the top of the boot, but I'm sure there's a better way. Any ideas?

I am so excited. Does anyone else start in the back first? I love to look from the back to the front. Then front to back. Then read tthe sections that catch my eye. But I can say that I read each issue at least three times. Will be watching for the postman around the 11th. Barbara
